Shuffling her feet against the cold and silent pavement of the nearby streets, Hikari walked with her head down, mind still clouded by the heartbreaking realization that she had yet to process.

In actuality, it had been only a month since the last time she had seen Touya, but even so, the girl couldn't help but still hear his cruel words and the sight of another woman in his bed.

It had certainly opened her eyes to how things really were between them, that was for sure and Hikari now knew painfully well that Touya had only ever seen her as a hookup and an easy night. There were no feelings, and why would there be? She was just an ugly homeless bird after all.

Just like Endeavor had said.

And now Hikari couldn't even think about Touya without feeling her chest cave with heartbreak. Because even if it had meant nothing to him, it had meant everything to her. She loved him after all, she had loved him for years and that couldn't change so easily.

But even still, as Hikari looked up at the looming dark clouds that covered the sky, the girl couldn't help but feel tears work their way into the corners of her eyes once more. Now she really was truly alone in this horribly cruel world. Serves her right though, she supposed.

Biting her lip, the girl wiped the weakness from her eyes before pushing herself forward in the direction of Riku's compound, her mind still loud and noisy with every single step.

He hadn't called her to be a distraction for quite awhile and Hikari was thankful for that, knowing that the last thing she could handle was someone touching her in the way Touya did so loving and kind before.

So instead, the girl found herself walking aimlessly down the streets, hoping to find the strength to continue on as she always did.

But even still, a small part of her still missed him. How funny is that? He was the one that cheated on her, fucked another woman in the same bed as her and yet she still missed him? There must have seriously been something wrong with her.

Perhaps that just truly showed how much Hikari relied on him for everything. He was the only one she talked to and trusted for years after all. She was so dependent on him and his kindness that it physically hurt to be apart for this long.

Sighing to herself, the blonde haired girl slowly approached Riku's compound before moving down the usual dark and dirty hallway, choosing not to turn to any of the unsavory men in the area. There seemed to be more of them than usual today. She wondered why that was?

Although soon she found herself paused in front of the large room that always made her flinch.

His office.

She felt her hand begin to shake at the implications before forcibly opening the door only to find that her boss was already waiting for her, his hands leaning on his jeweled cane with interest. "Finally. I thought for sure I was going to have to track you down and drag you here myself. So glad you could finally join me, Takami."

Gulping at his already cruel tone, Hikari forced herself to speak. "I'm sorry, I just...lost track of time."

And that was true, knowing that she had been wandering for weeks with no clear destination ever since the night she left Touya. But it wasn't like she was comfortable telling her boss the full story.
