Chapter 43

((Somewhere in the Hospital))

Dr Wong and his assistant were speaking in an empty hospital room.

The assistant leaned against the wall by the door to peek over the small window to make sure the coast is clear.

Wong- "Do you think we can really pull this off?"

"We have to or else boss will be pissed."

Wong- "But I can't avoid both of them forever....they KNOW how I look, what will happen if I'm spotted?!"

"Quiet...Do you want them to hear us?"

Wong- "Sorry, I'm just nervous...I could've sworn they were suspicious of me when I walked passed them..."

"You had your mask and cap on, if they were REALLY suspicious of you, they would've stopped you."

Wong- "I just don't know why I have to do this.."

"Because boss ordered me to bust you out....we could've killed you for ditching the boss when he needed you..."

Wong- "I didn't ditch him! I got pulled over and arrested!"

The nurse scoffed.

"Amateur..." 

The assistant rolled her eyes and kept her eyes on the small window.

Wong- "What are we even waiting for anyways?"

" Boss' orders."

Wong- "But how do we even know he's not actually listening?"

She turns to side glance him.

"Oh he's listening...have you forgotten who we are? Boss could've sent me to kill you but nooo, he told me to break you out of the slammer....if we didn't need you for this mission then we would've let the government execute you for assisting us..."

The doctor swallows the lump on his throat.

"Now stop complaining before I decide to cut the mission short.."

The Doctor nods.

*Buzz Buzz Buzz*

The assistant reached into her pocket to see someone calling.

"Talk to me..."

"Where are you located?"

"The room located beneath her's .."

"You can hear what's going on?"

"Hardly, but there's cops all over the floor above us so hiding there is too risky.."

"Hmm....boss says to go when YOU feel is time....you got a plan on when to go up?"

"Just gonna wait until things get crazy...Its less suspicious that way."

"If you say so, call us back if anything..."

"Roger that..."

She hangs up and peeks over the small window again.

Wong- "New orders?"

"Boss gave me the okay to act when I want."

Wong- "Please don't let them catch me again.."

"I don't decide when you get captured....if they catch you again then that's ALL on you..."

They stand in the dark room for a while until the doctor breaks the silence.

Wong- "What are you waiting for?"

"The right time.."

Wong- "But what IS the right time?"
