Father Coming Home

My name is Utsukush no Lily, and I used to be Tadashi Akira, a human male who was recently reborn as the Vampire Princess. Here's a quick rundown of my human life.

(5-year-old Tadashi Akira's point of view)

My mother, Tadashi Aki, and my younger sister, Tadashi Yui, live with me. We reside in a medium-sized mansion in Ockress City's center sector.

A knock came at the door.

My mother went to find out who it was, and I stood on the stairwell, observing. Through the glass, I noticed a tall man's shadow. My mother was astonished when she answered the door and immediately began crying.

"I am overjoyed that you arrived safely home." Tadashi Aki said this while crying and smiling.

"Who is it, mom?" I asked with curiosity.

"He's your father, Kaito, who has been away on a mission hunting monsters and vampires." my mother continued, wiping her tears away with a smile.

The man was tall and muscular, with two katanas on his sides, short black hair, and blue eyes that matched mine.

"Hello," Tadashi Kaito remarked, smiling.

"Hello, dad," my sister and I exclaimed joyfully.

We entered the kitchen and took a seat. My father began to tell my sister and me stories about his experiences as a Vampire Slayer of the High Expert Rank.

My mother chose to make lunch while my father told us his stories because it was 12:15 p.m.

"My father motivated me to become a Vampire Slayer when I was six years old, and I enrolled in the Vampire Slayer Academy. I was one of the best students in my class, so I had a well-known teacher accompany me to training. After graduating from the academy, I began to rack up kills and gradually improved my rank through numerous challenges. I took on other slayers and gained fighting experience, eventually getting to where I am now ". With a smile, Tadashi Kaito said.

"Woah, I'm also interested in becoming a vampire slayer; could you train me?" With a hopeful grin on my face, I said.

With a smile, Tadashi Kaito responded, "Yes, we can start when we're done eating."

We had rice and curry. I quickly finished my meal and went outside to wait for my father.

My father appeared, wielding a katana and daggers.

"Are we going to practice with both?" With a puzzled expression, I said.

"I'll help you with physical and agility strengthening tomorrow," Tadashi Kaito replied honestly, "but today we're improving skill in sword mastery and dagger mastery."

"Yes," I answered cheerfully.

My father held the daggers, so I started with the katana first. My father advised me to strike him since fighting someone improves with proficiency and future improvement.

I thought I had advanced by one level after seven hours of sparring. My father decided to call it a day after today's training, so we went inside, ate dinner, and went to bed.

I got up at 7:00 a.m. the next day and went downstairs. My arms hurt for an hour, but I knew it was exhausting because it was part of my training. My mother was making Miso Shiru, and my father and younger sister were playing in the backyard. When I went to speak with him, he told me that we would begin training after breakfast.

After my mother finished preparing breakfast, I quickly ate all of my food and went outside to swing the katana while waiting for my father to finish eating. He quickly finished his meal and came to assist me.
