Kasumi's Past (12): Ozara's True Form

"Ozara, are you the one who set this up just so you can get revenge on me or is it the fact that your afraid of my strength?" I asked Ozara with a pained expression.

I compressed my mana into a mana pocket and exploded it, sending me forward, where I used the force of the explosion of mana to pull the short-sword out of myself.

*Thud! Pfff!!

Blood spurted out from the wound from the forceful extraction of the short-sword, which I responded with activating my life-fire, which was soon consumed by the black aura.

Meanwhile, Ozara was flung onto a rocky hill, creating a large crater from the explosion of the mana pocket. From the impact he nearly died, but his injuries began sealing themselves up until there were no wounds left.

Soon he stood up like nothing had happened, but this time his figure began to distort between his male self and another figure, but it was too distorted to see what it was.

"Finally, I don't have to use this disguise artifact anymore, but it was fun while it lasted,". Ozara said with a relieved expression, while licking the e blood dripping from his mouth.

Soon Ozara's figure finished distorting, which entirely shocked me, of his new appearance.

Ozara was now a tall and slender woman with a large bosom, she wore a black and dark purple frilly bra, as for her lower half it was a black and white scaled serpentine body. She had black hair that flowed down to her lower back, a beautiful face, black pointed ears, a slender neck, and red eyes which had a relieved expression.

"You not only became a lamia, while also giving up your manhood just to kill me, Ozara?" I asked her with a serious expression.

"I go by Astrisa now, but yes, I'm willing to give up my manhood and even became a lamia who is ruled by the Vampire Queen just so I can kill you, my mortal enemy and the one standing in my way of completing my goal". Astrisa said with an angered but sincere expression.

"You've fallen too far to go back now, I'll have to kill you to save you and this world".I said while summoning my katanas and imbuing them with fire-fox magic.

I then disappeared and reappeared behind her while slashing my two katanas at her neck and abdomen.

I was surprised by the fact that, even with my swift speed, she was still able to block, which I realized came from two factors. The first one is from her enhanced strength from being a vampire and the second one is the artifact's abilities, which I then used to deduce that the artifacts have multiple abilities giving her all rounder-like abilities.

As soon as my mana came into contact with the short sword radiating black aura, it began to rapidly consume my mana, which added to the black aura consuming my mana from my mana pool.

"It's pointless to fight back, since once you run out of mana, the black aura will begin to consume you from the inside out, and once it reaches your heart it will be over for you". Astrisa said with a mocking laugh.

"Enough talking, let's end this". I said while slashing my katana at her once again.

We continuously fought with me being able to deal serious damage to him, but he recovered from the wounds he suffered quickly, while I kept stacking wounds after wounds, which would recover very slowly since my mana was protecting my internals, so I couldn't use it to recover my wounds quickly.

Each wound I suffered would take a few minutes to fully heal, but I didn't have time to heal before another wound appeared on my body with a black aura radiating from the wound, which further slowed down my healing speed.

I knew that Goro was also able to fight, but I didn't know why he hadn't joined to help me kill her. As soon as I got a chance to take a look, what I found out that Goro was in a stalemate with a woman with a similar appearance to Astrisa, who I guessed must have been Aimi, which surprised me since she was a more civil person than Ozara, but now I see that she must of had the same thoughts, but new how to hide her emotions well.

After 20 minutes of fighting, I started to realize that I was beginning to lose my strength, stamina, and reaction, which I thought must also have been from the black aura.

I began avoiding his attacks and only attacking when I had a completely clear opening, giving no chance for a counterattack from her.

"It seems you realized the second ability of the black aura, but still, even if you avoid direct confrontation, the black aura in you will still sap away at your strength, stamina, mana, while also slowing your speed". Astrisa slashed at me with her short-sword with a mocking, but eager expression.

Another factor I learned about the black aura is the more mana you give it, the quicker it consumes, which makes it difficult since some of the black aura has reached some of my mana links, consuming everything released from there without a single drop escaping.

Another hour passed, but I was still losing, with nearly all my strength, stamina, and mana gone with slower speed, making it harder to dodge attacks. I knew I had a very low chance of winning, since she had an artifact which counters mana, but doesn't hinder the users' mana at all.

Goro seemed to be in a similar situation, but he had no fire in him, he just lost complete control over his body because of Aimi exposing his weaknesses and paralyzing him.

I decided to check his stats, since even with all these artifacts, he couldn't beat me at Mid Master Tier.

"So you have been hiding your strength all along, even in the meeting?" I asked with a pained expression.

"Yes I have been hiding my strength even before the meeting, while waiting until you were off guard to kill you".

"If I used a normal disguise stat skill, then you would have seen right through it, but I used an artifact which can't be seen through by anyone under Demi God Tier". Astrisa said and licked her lips with her long forked snake tongue, while also giving a seductive expression.

"No wonder I can't resist the black aura, I would need to be a Demi God Tier at least to be able to resist it, but all I can do is fight back against her, which might allow me to cancel the black aura by killing the caster". I thought to myself while still dodging her attacks.
