Continuous Provocation

Minutes passed.

Three specialists walked up to me, which you could tell by their exquisite robes.

"We were told to come here to prove that your tool wasn't a fake and could actually produce blood."

"Here." I handed the tool along with a wine glass to them.

The tool specialist took it and began to inspect it in order to see if it was constructed for the purpose of generating blood.

As 15 minutes passed, the air seemed tense with many people focusing their gazes on the movement of the specialist, waiting for him to finish.

He soon finished his inspection and handed it to the other two. The mana specialist held it in his hand, infusing mana, while the spacial specialist scanned the device for any readings as it poured blood into the wine glass.

Another half hour has passed.

They stopped inspecting it and looked up to see how many people were watching to see if it was a forgery or not.

"After the three of us specialists inspected it for a few hours, we only found a small spatial tunnel for the blood to pour into the cup, which is its only purpose, while everything else works as it was intended to, so we three specialists conclude this masterpiece of a tool is valid and serves its purpose to generate blood."

Many in the crowd were shocked by the tool specialist's calling this tool a masterpiece, which was surprising since he never labeled any tool made by others a masterpiece.

But the ones who hated vampires to their core still didn't give up, such as the man sitting on his ass in fear.

"She must be controlling the specialists with her psychic powers."

"Now you're just making this shit up. You think I would control them for my own benefit?"

"Yes, vampires are greedy, blood-thirsty monsters that would do anything to serve their own benefit."

"It's true vampires are greedy, but so are humans and many other races that are greedy for power, money, and territory, but when it all comes down to one thing, they are no different. They are greedy to survive."

"Humans may be greedy, but vampires take the lives of us to feed themselves."

"So do humans who take the lives of cattle for food and clothing, and monsters for treasure and power. What does that change? Every race takes the life of another for their own benefit."

"I—I." I walked towards him as he moved backwards to get away from me.

"You can't speak, can you?"

I walked up until I was right in front of him. I crouched down and looked at his wide eyes, filled completely with fear, and grabbed his chin.

"I'm not going to kill you, but let Akhazar deal with you and the ones that are part of your little group, as you just want another war to start, don't you?"

"No, why would I want another war to start?"

"The continuous provocation against me, who considers you as a tiny ant. You really have guts and such a deep hatred against me, don't you, even though I didn't do a thing to you." We then appeared on the balcony next to the king with at least 100-200 others, where silver knights stood.

"Arrest them for their deception, and attempt to start another war between the humans and vampires." Akhazar ordered.

The silver knights immediately put the culprits in cuffs and chains before taking them to the dungeon.

"Thanks for that, but I'd like to punish them myself, but don't worry, I won't be killing them." I said.

"Since you want to punish them, I'll give them to you in a few days as I need to interrogate them to get information out of them."

"That's fine."

"The peace treaty rules will be posted in a few days, so until then we won't be moving the vampires, if that's fine with you."

"I don't mind. Tell me if you find anything from the interrogation. I'll be going now. If you need me for anything, just say my name. It doesn't matter if it's out loud or in your head, I'll hear it anyway."

I walked over to Kasumi and Kimiko, who were standing on the balcony the entire time, and teleported away with them.
