Ice Imp Colony

After half an hour of walking, we made it to Gamery Mountain Range and started heading toward the Ice Montane Forest in the center of the Mountain Range.

After an hour of traveling through the mountain range, we made our way to the entrance of the Ice Montane Forest, which takes up the second half of the Gamery Mountain Range.

We entered the forest with our guard up, since most monsters in this forest are the assassin type which ambush their prey.

"What weapon do you normally use as your main weapon?" Kasumi asked curiously.

"I use the Blood Scythe as my main weapon". I said with a smile.

"That's acceptable, but the scythe isn't a suitable weapon for this forest, since the trees are tall but not that far apart from each other". Kasumi said with an honest expression.

"I see, then, what weapon would be suitable for this forest? I'm also proficient in Daggers and Katanas, which I used before I turned into a vampire". I said with a quizzical expression.

"Dagger or Katana would work, the katana would be suitable for cutting the monsters easily, but not so much for the forest, while the dagger would be the most suitable weapon for the forest, but you'll need to aim for fatal weak points, so it's up to you to decide which one you'll use". Kasumi said with a smile.

"I'll use the Katanas then". I said with a little excitement.

"Good, instead of using only your Blood Scythe, you should start using different weapons depending on the situation you are in". Kasumi said with a serious expression.

"Fair enough". I said while shrugging my shoulders.

I formed two Blood Katana by using [Blood Authority] and [Blood Solidification] with a great amount of difficulty. I can form daggers with ease since they are small, but as for Katanas, it takes more effort and mana to do so, which puts a strain on my body.

"Oh yeah, almost forgot you can't use any type of Active Perception Skills such as [Blood Flow Vision] or Blood Sense since they significantly would decrease your improvement in your own senses". Kasumi said with a serious expression.

"Makes sense". I said happily.

"I can't believe how much experience Kasumi has, now I know even with my full strength I wouldn't beat her since she uses her stats and skills more effectively than I do with my own". I thought with fright, but shrugged it off, since there wasn't a point in fearing her.

I sensed a huge colony of Ice Imps jumping from tree to tree above the position I was currently at. They seemed to be trying to find the right timing to attack, so I guessed they had at least one intelligent leader leading the group of Ice Imp.

Soon they found their chance to attack and began their assault with 30 Ice Imps charging at the front with the remaining shortly behind them with their arms coated with Ice Magic.

Ice Imps looked just like apes with the ice attribute which had very high strength, but their constitution was terrible, so they lived in groups from a few hundred to a few thousand. They were a revenge hungry species, meaning if you killed one they would attack you until either you die or they die.

A few seconds later, they were now right in behind me with one of them punching out with a fist 2x the size of my head. I knew if I was struck by this attack I would be severely injured if not dead.

I pivoted to the left while using my momentum to strike at the Ice Imp's abdomen with my katana, which sliced cleanly through without any resistance.

"Their defense is weaker than I thought, but their strength and numbers make them dangerous opponents to fight, but this can help me improve significantly". I thought with a determined expression.

Two fists came flying toward me at a quick speed. I dodged the first one and used the second fist as a foothold to slash at the calf of the first Ice Imp, causing him to fall down on his knees in a kneeling position with a deep gash in both of his legs.

I reshaped the Blood Katana in my right hand into a Blood Dagger and stabbed the right temple of the Ice Imps' head, killing it instantly.

After the Ice Imp died, the second Imp's eyes became red, which showed it was enraged and began attacking more aggressively, while the rest of the Ice imps became enraged and decided to attack in larger groups, since two wasn't enough.

Five thousand Ice Imps all started to surround me both in the trees as well as the ground, but they didn't notice Kasumi since she was hiding her presence 10-20 meters away from the fight, which allowed her to keep watch on my battle without any hindrances.

I continuously dodged the enraged Ice Imps attacks and found my opening. I switched to a reversed grip with my katana and pierced the Ice Imp's Solar Plexus, which killed him instantly.

The ice Imps became even more enraged, which was shown since their eyes became a darker red. Ten of them came at once, this time followed by another ten which surrounded me on all sides with no escape route in sight.

With one foot on the axis, I leapt into the air and lowered my center of gravity while concentrating my strength into my slender waist. I then rotated on the spot with two Blood Katanas in hand and drew a perfect circle, slicing 5 ice imps instantly in half.

*Pfff!

I then rotated once again using the momentum from the previous swing, but this time with Chaos Magic enveloping the two katanas and sending sword waves at the remaining 15 Ice Imps attacking me.

*Pff! Pff! Pfff! Pffff! Pfffff!

The two sword waves flew out for 5 meters, which killed 10 in the process. The remaining 5 Imps had minor injuries since the two sword waves weakened over time, leading them to dissipate shortly after killing the 10 Ice Imps.

"I know this may be tough, but I think it is worth it. I should thank Kasumi after this once I'm finished and maybe give her a kiss". I thought with a smile.

(Kasumi's POV)

I'm currently sitting on a tree branch 10 to 20 meters away from the battle between Lily and the Ice Imps watching how she fights with an interested expression.

"Why is her attack power faster and stronger than it should be normally when she coats her katana with magic? Is it because she's using Chaos Magic? No Chaos Magic doesn't have that effect, then what could it be?" Kasumi thought while showing more affection towards Lily.

"Oh well, I won't be able to find out now, since I have no idea what it could be, but she is improving drastically in such a short time. She must have been an extremely talented person when she was human, but there's no female human with this talent at her age that I remember, even including the four other kingdoms". Kasumi thought to herself with a curious expression.

"I guess I'll have to ask her something which I don't get, when she's done with her training". Kasumi thought while moving her focus back to the battle.
