(A/N - I changed the Inner Demon's name to Aalka)

Aalka again aimed for my neck, which I deflected before kicking her in the stomach and launching her back a few meters.

"Seems like she's weakened, since a inner demon would be a lot stronger than this, leaving me with little chance against her, but she can't utilize her full strength because she's weakened presumably from a new body and Lily hasn't been entirely absorbed." I was thinking to myself.

"Why are you fighting the inevitable when she isn't coming back?" With a beguiling look, Aalka said.

"Because she's my beloved and a strong woman capable of surpassing this." Kasumi screamed as she slashed Aalka with her katana.

*Clang!

Aalka deflected the blow with her mana-infused fingers once more, making sparks fly, but this time she clutched the blade firmly.

*Crack!

The katana's blade shattered, leaving just the hilt, so Kasumi summoned another katana and saved the hilt in case she could use a special type of magic to restore it later.

"How come she was consumed by me if she is so strong?" Lily was mocked by Aalka because she had only been persuaded for a few minutes.

"You exploited her vulnerability, but she'll overcome her vulnerability and return." I stated confidently.

[Activating Natural Art: Nature Aura]

Kasumi's aura grew stronger, becoming one with nature itself. Plant life began to grow with the nature's aura, stimulating life magic.

"Oh, you have Natural Arts, but even with the life energy radiating around you, the boosts aren't enough for you to fight on par with me." With a beguiling look, Aalka said.

Aalka materialized in front of me with her nails aimed at my abdomen, having used teleportation once more.

*Clang!

We collided, sparks went flying, but Aalka redirected her left hand at the last second, which I couldn't avoid, causing 5 deep lacerations that exposed my bone.

Kasumi's calf began to glow with green light, which began to heal slowly but was slowed by the chaotic mana emanating from the wound, so the green light entered Kasumi's wound and began fighting the chaos mana while decreasing the blood loss.

[Stamina: 28,443/37,547]

The combat remained at a standstill. Kasumi was able to inflict some minor wounds on Aalka that healed quickly, but as the conflict progressed, Kasumi's [Natural Arts] was running out and Aalka's strength was growing rapidly.

(Lily's Soul World)

I could just hear battling and talking through the breach in the darkness surrounding me, but I recognized the person fighting my inner demon; however, the memories are progressively fading, indicating that she is losing the battle.

"Kasumi."

It felt natural when a small green light began to pour into the darkness, but the darkness sought to enshroud and consume it before it could reach me.

"Don't fight back; as long as you let me take control, you'll be fine." A soothing voice entered my mind, but I recognized it as the seductive inner demon.

"Kasumi."

I fought to break free from the pitch black chains that are binding my soul, but they persisted in restricting my movement, and they were transmitting persuasive thoughts into my mind, but I kept fighting for the last ray of light I had.

"Why try so hard to resist when being devoured may keep you safe and happy?" The voice said it again, this time in a persuasive tone.

"Being consumed by a Demon will not make me happy; I will die while she feasts on everything." Being with Kasumi is the only thing that will make me happy." I cried, my resistance intensifying.

...

I'm not sure how long it's been, but I finally broke the shackles that bound my soul to the darkness and caught the small green photons of light who are about to be consumed by the darkness.

I began to infuse my mana into the green light, which began to glow luminous as I infused more mana into it; however, I felt resistance from what appeared to be the darkness attempting to bind me once more; nevertheless, I kept my mind focused on infusing this green light, and the darkness' persuasion became nonexistent to me.

"I'm coming, Kasumi." Only a few people could hear my murmur.
