After killing the Djinn, I thought of something as I looked at the corpse, so I activated [Nail Manipulation] and plunged my hand into the left side of its chest, pulling out a hand-sized organ that appeared to be its heart, except it wasn't red, but blue.

Kasumi was already standing next to me when I ripped out its heart, a puzzled expression on her face.

I crushed the heart in my hand with my strength, sending blue blood flying, but I didn't care since all I cared about was the blue crystal within the heart, which was its mana core, and the manifestation of all its strength throughout its life, which crystallized into a crystal after it died.

"Let's see if this works." I thought to myself as I began to concentrate and closed my eyes.

The blue crystal began to pulsate abit, but the energy within the mana core gradually faded away, as if it had never been there in the first place, and the blue crystal became a useless crystal.

"It was successful." I said this with a smile on my face.

"Can you tell me what was successful?" Kasumi inquired, a smile on her face.

"I was able to absorb the mana within the mana core." I said this with a smile on my face as I looked at Kasumi.

I looked at the notifications on my system.

[A new skill has been created]

Without having to activate the skill, the user can teleport in any direction in an instant with just one step. The user only needs to consider where to go and take one step forward.

Skill Type: Active/Passive

Limitations: only can teleport a short-to-medium distance + the requirement to take a step in order to activate.

[Void Step has been added to your skill list.]

"Oh, that explains why I felt like I could teleport quicker than previously." As I read the skill description, I said.

Looking through my system notifications, I found:

[Host has Unlocked the second skill of Vampiric Drain]

[Host has obtained the skill: Mana Siphon]

[Mana Siphon] - Allows the user to drain the mana of objects and creatures.

Skill Type: Active/Passive

Limitations: drains mana slowly the larger the mana that is being absorbed the longer it will take.

"Have you obtained Vampiric Drain's second skill?" Kasumi answered, smiling and a little surprised, because I had just obtained Soul Devourer a few days ago.

"Yeah I did." I said with a smile.

Kasumi approached me and patted my head, which I initially found strange but didn't mind.

"And you killed a Djinn so quickly that you were able to kill it before it could release its poison, which is commendable." Kasumi smiled as she spoke.

"Thanks." I stated it with a smile on my face.

I sensed a presence hovering above us, so I teleported over to see what it was. It was a bird, which isn't considered a Phoenix because its body wasn't formed of its element. Blue feathers covered the thunderbird's body, and lightning sparks radiated off its body and eyes.

[(Fearow) Mid Gold Tier - Thunderbird]

"Mid Gold Tier huh, but it seems enraged." I thought to myself as looked at the enraged thunderbird.

Thunderbirds are normally helpful to other species or don't bother them, but this thunderbird has become agitated, causing it to go on a rampage.

The wind began to pick up, morphing into razor-sharp blades, slicing everything in its path, as a gigantic thunder storm developed above me, which was summoned by the thunderbird. When it came to the ones that were aiming at me, I used [Wind Magic] to deflect them enough so they didn't hit me, which was difficult due to the fact that it was a higher tier than I can easily control.

Lightning bolts began to strike in my direction, combining with the wind blades to making things even more difficult, but not to the point that I couldn't handle it.

I activated [Chaos Blade] and [Chaos Aura]. With my two chaos katanas in hand and chaos aura coating my body, I stepped forward and disappeared before reappearing above the thunderbird, which infuriated it even more, so it focused all of its attacks on me, attempting to kill me.

*Bzzt!

Several lightning bolt and wind blades assaulted me simultaneously, but they were primarily disrupted by me flaring my chaos aura, and the few attacks that broke through were mostly dealt with chaos katanas, but one lightning bolt got through, leaving me with little chance to evade.

Before the lightning bolt could hit me, I quickly circulated my chaotic mana and constructed a barrier between myself and it.

*Boom!

The lightning bolt struck the barrier and began to fade as the energy forming the bolt began to disrupt, but it was able to force its way through just before it dissipated and struck my chest, paralyzing and numbing my body before sending me flying backwards.

But I immediately recovered from my paralysis, stepped forward again, and disappeared before emerging above the thunderbird, leaving it no time to evade. I slashed my chaos katana at its neck, but it resisted my attack.

Even with my blade's natural disruption ability, it used its lightning to create a barrier within its body, stopping my katana.

"Let's use that ability then." As I utilized another chaotic ability, I pondered.

I activated a stronger version of disruption Chaos Magic skill, [Destabilization], which completely destabilized all the lightning and scattered the energy before dissipating.

I decided to end it soon because my body was utterly numb, so I unleashed Omni Distortion as its body began to warp before bursting into small chunks of flesh.

*Pfff!

"It was a little dirty, but it got results, so it was worth it." With a stern expression on my face, I remarked.

I deactivated [Chaos Blade] and [Chaos Aura] and took the mana core and stepped forward again, this time in front of Kasumi, who was still perplexed by the fact that the thunderbird had burst into small chunks of flesh.

I wasn't covered in any blood or flesh since [Sanitized Metabolism] had erased it all, which included my clothes.

"At this rate Lily will surpass me, so I need to step up; however, if we're on equal strength, I won't mind as long as she's not too much stronger than me." Kasumi pondered as a desire to be more powerful burned within her.

[Does host want skill: Disruption to merge with Skill: Destabilization]

"Yes." I internally thought.

[Disruption has now been integrated into the skill Destabilization]

[Destabilization] - A skill of Chaos Magic that allows the user to create destabilization in objects, environment, people, and abilities.
