After we were escorted to our rooms, we stayed in our rooms until dinner, which Ozara was hosting with his family.
We made plans for our attack on the monsters and demons and decided to take action once Feronia came back from scouting out the territory.
As soon as we finished dinner, we decided to go to bed early, so we could have more energy during the battle tomorrow, which should be challenging because of the estimated levels of the monsters and demons.
I woke up around 6:00am and saw that my mother was already awake and was currently getting ready. She was wearing a similar kimono to the one she wore yesterday, but this time it was black and red with darker colored wooden geta sandals.
"Can I come fight the monsters and demons?" I asked with a longing expression.
"Sorry Kasumi, this is too high standard for you". Kiyomi said with a sorrowful expression.
"Fine, but you have to promise me to take me to a monster extermination in the future". I said while pouting.
"Sure, but when you are stronger". Kiyomi while patting my head with a smile.
"Don't pat my head, I'm not a kid anymore". I said while trying to lift her hand off my head.
"If you can get my hand off your head in 10 minutes, then I won't pat your head anymore". Kiyomi said with a slightly sadistic smile.
I kept trying to lift her hand off my head, but it wouldn't budge an inch. I the. I started to think my mother set me up to fail, since there was no way I could have as much strength as her.
Soon 10 minutes were already up. During the 10 minutes, I made no progress at all in removing her hand from my head.
"It's been 10 minutes, I won". Kiyomi said with a smile.
"Mother, did you use all your strength?" I asked with a tired expression.
"No I didn't". Kiyomi said while nodding her head.
"Fine you win". I said while pouting.
"I have to go meet up with the other families and you can't come, so you will have to stay here while we exterminate the monster and demon territory, OK". Kiyomi said while I nodded,
"Bye mother, be safe". I said with a worried expression.
"No need to worry, your mother is strong, just wait for me when I come back". Kiyomi said while giving me a hug and saying bye.
She then left the room with me sitting in bed waiting for her to return safely. I then decided to sleep longer, since I had nothing else to do for the time being.
(Kiyomi's POV)
As soon as I left the room, I followed a servant who was waiting for me. Soon we entered the assembly hall and got seated quickly.
10 minutes passed, everyone was now in the assembly hall waiting for Feronia to scout out the monster and demon territory.
Soon a servant came in and whispered into Ozara's ear. The servant seemed to be informing him about something, but we couldn't hear what. We then guessed he must be using a silence spell, which we didn't mind. After a few minutes, the servant left, while Ozara was pondering over what he had heard.
"Are you going to tell us about what your servant was whispering to you about?" I asked with a curious expression.
"N-no need, it was just a personal matter that I asked the servant to look into, it has nothing related to the extermination". Ozara while shaking his head in denial.
"O-" I said while being interrupted.
"I'm here to deliver the scouting information that I've gathered for my little cute lovers". Feronia said with a smile after barging in.
"Feronia, can you not interrupt me?" I asked with a twitching smile.
"Sorry big sis". Feronia said with a sorrowful expression.
"It's fine". I said with a calm expression.
"Feronia, like I said before, don't call me a kid or little". Ozara said with a twitching face.
"The only reason I call you a kid is because you act like one". Feronia said while pouting, then grinning.
"Besides that, what information did you gather?", Ozara, while trying to calm down his anger.
"The numbers are 10,000 Mid Expert Tier and 5,000 High Expert Tier Monsters and Demons. They are separated into six different sections of their territory which are corresponding to the Elements: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, lightning, and Ice. They seem to be fighting over land as well as expanding outward for more land, which gives the land the corresponding element they own."Feronia said with a smile, while using magic to create images out of wind and light to easily demonstrate what she is saying.
"Any weapons which will be most suitable against them?" Ozara asked with a curious expression.
"The easiest way to kill them is to use the opposite element that they use, but they still have high resistance to the opposite element, but it still does damage". Feronia with a smile.
"Thanks Feronia, would you like to join this fight since your wind and light based?" I asked while giving Ozara a smirk.
"Not happening sh-" Ozara was interrupted.
"Why not, that'll be fun to see little Ozara fighting". Feronia said with a smile.
*Slam!"
The sound of slamming the table echoed, which caused everyone to go silent and look at Ozara, who was the culprit.
"Can't even keep in his temper in front of us, Fufufu". I said while holding my hand near my mouth.
"That's why I'm going to kill her". Ozara said while standing up and rushing toward Feronia with an angry and cold expression.
"Why are you going to kill your big sister?"Feronia said with a tear appearring from her eyes.
I disappeared and reappeared instantly above Ozara while saying "you should at least know how to keep your cool in front of company", then I hit the back of his neck, which knocked him out instantly before he could take another step.
"Sorry about my husband's temper, Lady Kitsunezaki". Harimogura Aimi said with a frightened and apologetic expression.
"It's fine". I said with a smile.
Aimi then carried Ozara back to his room after ending the meeting and saying we would begin the extermination at noon.
"Feronia, I know you like playing with him, but you shouldn't do it too much, since otherwise he may kill you when I'm not around, even if his family is the youngest of the Primordial Families". I said while patting Feronia's head.
"Fine, but you have to give me more attention". Feronia said while pouring.
"Sure, I'll give you more attention". I said while thinking she was just like a child.
We then decided to chat until he comes back to the meeting, which should be in a few hours.
