Chapter 43: Gift

Luhence Ysmael POV

I am sipping wine while on the balcony of the office. Rhuzelle words still tingling in my mind. She gave me puzzle. I honestly want to get mad at myself because I am confusing at Aika's loyalty. Rhuzelle words isn't easy to forget.

A knock on the door made me back to reality. Bumalik ako sa loob at umupo sa swivel chair. Maayos kong inilagay ang wine glass sa aking office desk.

"The door is open" I said while looking at my laptop. An email caught my attention as it came to Corpse Lily Organization.

"Good Afternoon Sir," Shin, my secretary, come in. "Mr. Laxus Sevrious is on the lobby. He wants to meet you even without a scheduled appointment" Shin said with respect. Automatically, my forehead creased upon hearing Uncle Laxus' name. It's been a month since we did not meet each other. Why will he pay me a surprise visit?

"Let him" I said. Shin smiled.

"Yes Sir" she then closed the door. Napatingin ako sa dalawang picture frame na nakapatong sa gilid ng mesa ko. My Wedding Frame and My Family Frame. Dinampot ko ang dalawang iyon at pinakatitigang mabuti.

"Hi Dad, I have wife named Aika," I caressed Aika's face in the frame. "She's so beautiful, brave and clever woman just like Mom. I badly want you to meet her but too impossible," tumingin ako sa family frame. "Hey Sis Liah, I have wife but you still my baby. Hope you're here to join me on the happiness I have inside my chest"

Tila isang film na nagbalik sa isip ko ang gabing iyon sa New York. Kumuyom ang kamao ko at nilukob ng galit at lungkot ang puso ko. Kung hindi ba kami nag-pasko sa New York, buhay pa kaya sila? Narito pa kaya sila?

Whatever it is, one thing I will sure. I missed them so much.

I sighed heavily ang bring back the frames. I should not be hesitant of my own wife. Dad isn't like that to Mom.

"Come in," I said as I heard the knocked on the door. Uncle Laxus' smiley face entered the office. I smile at him too and stand to go at his place. "Long time no see, Uncle" nagmano ako sa kaniya. Ginabayan ko siya paupo sa couch saka ako umupo katapat niya.

"You've grown up well, Luhence." he happily said. "You're turning twenty-five tomorrow. Care to share your plan?" Kumunot ang noo ko pero kalauna'y natawa. Nakalimutan kong kaarawan ko bukas. Sa sobrang dami kong ginagawa, nakalimutan ko ang petsa na pinanganak ako. Isa pa, bakit pa ko magdiriwang no'n kung wala naman akong dahilan para mabuhay... noon.

Ngayon, may dahilan na ko sa lahat ng bagay para mabuhay. Aika gave me motivation to continue my life. My Aika will be my forever reason to celebrate every single day of my life.

"I honestly forgot tomorrow's event," sabay kaming natawa. "But an impromtu is, I wanna have some time with my wife. I want to be at home and hug her tight," napahinga ako ng malalim saka ako sumandal sa sofa. "These past few days was exhausting. Everything happen nowadays affect my relationship to my wife so I want to be with her tomorrow"

"I don't know you have this sweet side," tumawa siya. "Aika must be the luckiest woman" agad akong umiling.

"I am. I am the luckiest" I said. "Anyway, may I asked why you visited me in surprise? You're too busy"

"Luhence, tomorrow is your birthday so I have present," inilapag niya ang kulay asul na paperbag sa center table. "To be honest, I am not sure if you will like this" kinuha ko ang paperbag at nilabas ang isang box na kayang sakupin ng isa kong kamay. Tiningnan ko siya bago tanggalin ang kulay asul na laso. Tinanggal ko ang takip.

"Woah" I said as an amusement. I already imagined myself and Aika wearing this.

"It's a simple infinity couple necklace," inilabas ko ang dalawang necklace na may infinity symbol as a pendant tapos engraved ang pangalan ko at ni Aika sa mismong lace. "Pure diamond was used to that whole necklace so it is very expensive. I personally brought that in Italy two days ago. I hope you will like that, nephew"
