Zhongqing courtyard, wangye's residence was quiet all year round. The servants and eunuchs here were disciplined beyond comparison. And if not for the taboo, one would say they were even more orderly than the ones in Tanglin Great Palace.

The courtyard had its own path to exit and enter the wangfu so only the people of Zhongqing courtyard would know if the master was there.

Everybody was used to this. No one dared to ask wangye's schedule. Even Junwang and Junzhu felt that it was frequent already if they could meet Wan Li Wang three times a week.

Today, the innate tranquility had a touch of movement. The servants lined the large hallway inside the main house leading to the pathway before wangye's living space.

Not all of them would fit in the hallway so there were still more in the yard but it didn't look chaotic at all. Nobody made unnecessary movements.

With their heads bowed, they were all facing one direction.

In fact, it was a picture of grandeur. As though they were all serving the Son of Heaven. Such words... they couldn't be said aloud.

With chief eunuch Cheng Gong's lead, he lowered his back even more and said in a solemn voice. "Welcome back, wangye."

To most people of the palace, it would seem wangye was almost never seen at home. But those closest to him would know she had only been going in and out quietly. And not a word of this goes out of the King's courtyard. This showed the discipline these servants practiced.

Cheng Gong believed welcoming the King back home was a must. It was a tradition as much as it was showing their honor and happiness to see her Highness come back.

He had taken care of the three siblings from birth. It was too bad the eldest prince perished. Maybe in his heart, he knew the dubious things surrounding the eldest prince's death. But Cheng Gong chose to ignore this and wholeheartedly follow the former Gongzhu.

Back when Long Xu Le was named Wan Li, he worried day and night for the safety of this child. She was always out on the battlefields and he was glad from the bottom of his heart every time Long Xu Le came back intact.

"Disperse." One word and the courtyard went back to being as still as a lake.

Zhongqing alone accounted for a hundred pairs of hands. Cheng Gong would be livid if it was any less. He believed wangye should be well taken care of and that the whole residence should always be without a speck of dust.

These hundred people just now all welcomed her HIghness. And they all carefully left upon order.
