A/N: The game they're playing in this chapter is called Jianzi (毽子) which is similar to Korean's Jegichagi. I can't find any video of people playing Jianzi in traditional clothes so I enclosed a Korean version instead. The goal of the game is to hit the shuttlecock as many times as possible without using hands and don't let it fall to the ground. Recreationally, whoever has the highest count wins. In my country, this is called Sipa.

The beauties of the palace had a rare chance of playing. Feng Yanyan invited them to the south lake pavilion to play shuttlecock.

As eunuchs and maids passed by, they would hear peals of laughter and giggles as well as shouts of admiration or regret from time to time.

"Aiya, get it Ning Ning it's near you!"

"Xiao Qiao is truly good!"

And other words similar to these.

Of course, this was sealed with the approval of Ping Junwang. Feng Yanyan would have bragged about this all day if not for the fact that the prince only communicated to him via eunuch. Nevertheless, he didn't forget to reward the little eunuch and generously invited His Highness to join them in the fun.

Not only this, but he also invited Junzhu to ensure success. The result was obvious if Long Tang was involved, Long Sangyu was also baited.

Under the largest open pavilion of the southern part of the palace, sat the princess. Long Tang wouldn't miss this chance to view the beauties in their merriment.

Her eyes glittered and from time to time, gasps of wonder would be uttered by her lips. Beside her was her adoptive uncle who looked genial.

Under the warm spring afternoon sun, the beauties wore thin dresses that fluttered in the wind as they leaped with their nimble feet.

In the middle was a person who seemed to be the sun, burning everything around him and making sure his image would forever be imprinted in their minds. His hair was bound at the top of his head with the wisps falling behind his back. Because of the activity, few locks clung to his temples and fair neck.

He was wearing turquoise wide-sleeved robes and on his waist belt hung a jaded bell that made crisp sounds whenever he moved.

One could only sigh in wonder as the gentleman looked like a butterfly fluttering in the wind. His movements were bound with finesse, never letting the shuttlecock fall to the ground.

It was this exact image that fell in Long Tang and Long Sangyu's eyes.

"How gay and dissipated you are,

There on the top of Wanqiu!

You are full of kindly affection indeed,

But you have nothing to make you looked up to!"
