Irina Petrovska was in awe with the event that went unfurled in front of her. This was all very new to her, the auction of rich people. Hell, she wished that she knew about this kind of thing ever since a long time ago, then maybe she would not end up like this.

She was still observing her surroundings and she saw that Gabriel looked angry as he chugged champagne that the waiter delivered to him and she suddenly had an idea as she grabbed the nearest champagne bottle and poured the whole bottle of the aphrodisiac into it, before she waved a waiter and told him to deliver the champagne to the gentleman in black and slipped him a hundred dollars.

The waiter nodded and walked toward Gabriel while she followed closely behind. She needed to be close to Gabriel to be able to be within his direct line of sight so that he was the one who would approach her, not vice versa. She believed that Gabriel at least still liked any blonde woman–her.

She was so laser focused on Gabriel, she didn't see that someone else watched her with their eagle eyes and questions in their mind.

Jade sighed as she heard her brother introduce her to the crowd. She always participated in this yearly auction for the good cause. She could handle dinner with her admirers, and usually it ended in around an hour before she went home to sleep or maybe had a nightcap or two with Kei to discuss their next plan in conquering the world.

But this year she was not in the mood. If it wasn't because she had promised Akito to do her duty to raise some funds for the less fortunate, she would probably bail and hide until she knew what to do with her feelings, or just submerged herself into her works.

She wanted to expand her nightclubs and bars by proposing a partnership with Gabriel Kudou–the owner of Deliverance Casino worldwide–but the man was very hard to pin down because he was always on the move and never available.

She knew it was a risky move since she heard rumors that Gabriel Kudou was a very dangerous man and he was involved with the yakuza and Italian mafia. But she never let those rumors hindered her, after all she knew that not all rumors were true.

And then finally she had secured a meeting with him tomorrow, and she hoped that he would give her a time of the day and listened to her ideas instead of being lecherous and waved her off like those old bastards.

By the time she stepped on the platform, she just couldn't help but wonder about what happened to Beau when she saw the blonde girl–the new face for the Moreau second line jewelry–put something into a bottle of champagne and slipped the waiter a hundred dollars. The waiter nodded and walked toward the crowd of men in black, and he stopped in front of the tallest man in the middle–who looked at her with such an intensity that caused her to shiver.

Even though the tall man wore a black intricate mask and all black ensemble as he stood right in front of her with his aloof stand, she noticed that his beautiful golden eyes were widened in shock when he saw her.

And that's when she knew that this man was Beau.

Her Beau.

The one that she was in love with.

There's no one else who had the same mesmerizing gold eyes like he did.

She noticed that everything else blurred around them, like she was walking underwater and the only clear view in front of her was him. Even the sound of Akito's voice became muffled because she could only focus on him.

She saw him took the champagne that the waiter had offered to him and was ready to drink the golden liquid, when she remembered that the blonde girl had put something into it.

Their distance was not too far, but at the same time, it was too far away for her to be able to do something, so she did what she do best in this kind of situation.

She took off one of the small jade stone from her necklace, and threw it with a precision of a sharp shooter and the small green stone hit the champagne bottle, shattered it into pieces.

She then jumped from the platform and walked to Gabriel's direction, while the audience was stunned by her act earlier–including Hanzo, who stood guard near Gabriel with full alert. But the latter waved him off as Jade approached him.

She stopped just a step in front of Gabriel with question in her green eyes, and Gabriel was itching to touch her. She looked so beautiful and ethereal, he was afraid that this was just a figment of his imagination.

But then she touched his face softly.

And the audience gasped in surprise.

No one else in history had dared to touch Gabriel Kudou without his consent. The last person who did that was already in the ditch somewhere not to be found. And this woman dared to do that. Well, she's Akira Moreau, but still.

"Well well well, it looks like our Jade has chosen the one who will accompany her to a private dinner." Akito couldn't help but chuckled. This was so his sister after all. Bold. Impulsive. And she just didn't give a damn. "So, mysterious man in black, how much do you think Ms. Jade here worth for you?" He continued to taunt Gabriel with his words, but Gabriel didn't care anymore. He only cared about the woman in front of him.

He only cared that even if they only got separated for less than a day, his skin was itching for her touch, and his body was cold from their separation, while his heart experienced pain like he never knew before. And now that she was in front of him–looking as beautiful and as ethereal as a goddess in all gold–he could finally breathe.

He touched her face lightly to make sure that she was real, and that she was here in front of him, not just some kind of a daydream. And when he touched the familiar soft skin, he knew that he was home. He then grabbed her hand and enveloped it with his much bigger one, unwilling to let her go again.

"How much Christina was sold for?" And while he's at it, he's gonna rub it in Christina's face.

"Five million dollars. Are you going to match the offer?" Akito quirked his brow in question. Five mil was a chump change for a man of Gabriel's status, did he really underestimate his sister's worth? He would decline it if he offered five mil, let his sister know that she's worth so much more than that although he was sure Jade would skin him, but a man gotta stand for what's right.

"No. I'm going to give you ten times the offer. Fifty million dollars for Ms. Jade here."

The crowd gasped, including Akito.

He thought that Gabriel might upped the offer five times the most, but ten times? Now he knew that the man really liked his sister.

"Fifty million dollars. Wow. The highest bid in the entire history of our Moreau Jewelry's auction." Akito slow clapped his hands. "Bravo, kind sir. Now you may proceed to the second floor to have… dinner with our beautiful Ms. Jade here.

Gabriel put Jade's hand inside his arm and he held her, tight. He only had eyes for her the entire time they walked upstairs to the second floor, followed by the curious eyes of the crowds, and one particular pair of eyes who looked at them like he was about to murder them in place.

Gabriel Moretti Kudou.

Once again he stood between him and his birthrights.

But soon.

Soon the gaijin would be down on his knees, begging for his forgiveness, and that's when he's going to show the gaijin that the clan–and the woman–belonged to him, not to the mixed blood demon that Gabriel was to the world.
