“The reality is, you work for yourself regardless of who signs your check.” Zig Ziglar

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Colossians 3:23

Indenture: “A formal legal agreement, contract, or document, in particular an agreement binding an apprentice to a master” New Oxford American Dictionary

Most people spend a lot of time looking for, dreaming about, or trying to retain a steady, dependable job. While it's comforting to have security in employment and income, the most important thing when it comes to job security is a strong work ethic, not necessarily a dependable job. What if we did our best to concentrate on becoming invaluable employees at whatever we do. Every day scientists and engineers lose their jobs from projects in organizations like NASA or Boeing, but do you think they spend a lot of time out of work? Probably not. They proved themselves at the top levels of their field, and their accomplishments ensure people will want to hire them. Let's try to ensure that we are the best employees at whatever we do, whether we're actually working for somebody else or working for ourselves. We will never escape the indenture we have to ourselves, so we should be the best possible apprentice to whatever we undertake. If we're determined and driven to become significant, we will be accommodated.
