Trunks P.O.V

Is this how it's like?

Being my father and saving the planet?

He said he he is proud of me. I was told he was controlled by an alien...I had to die along with Goten trying to save those that we care for...

I nearly died again fighting Goten's dad's fight. He was scared of the guy. I don't care if the guy is my kind. He's a jerk. We even had to fight the guy in his bio form...

I want to go back to school, but now I can't. What if those beasts return here on the planet trying to destroy it? Even though no homework, this is still bad news.

I wonder if (Y/N) can pull through...

(Y/N) P.O.V

You just wish every time at school Trunks showed up. Since then, you have felt lonely. Making friends in the school was a hassle since the people there are rude. You hope that either Trunks or Goten will show up to school one day.

After school, Chiaotzu walked you home. Earlier you didn't like his presence, but now you rethink things. While walking home, you talk about the same old same old that has been going on.

"That must suck. I hope things get better."

"I don't want to go home," you said. "My parents don't want me around and they don't let me have things. My brother has more rights than me."

"I have to take you home. I wish I don't have to, but really I have to." Once you got home, he said, "I really hope you don't have to suffer anymore." After that, he left.

You opened the door to your house. For years you have been greeted by an item thrown across the face. Today, your mother threw your math textbook right at your face. "Ow!" You tried not to cry when suffering from the pain. "How was your day so far," you tried to say with a straight face. You wanted to burst into tears, but if you do, you'll most likely be slapped in the face by your father for "giving up".

Ignoring your question, your mother asked, "So, how is your day?"

"Today was fine," you lied. You'll be beaten if they find out about your liking for Trunks. Sadly, you have to play along until you can move out and live on your own.

"Hey (Y/N)," your brother Odin walked in. He wore the brand shirt that most of the boys in his school want to wear. He also wore the brand jeans and shoes in the town. He pointed at the shirt. "Look what Mom and Dad gave me!"

"It looks awesome," you said, trying not to show any signs of envy.

"I know, right?...(Y/N), are you okay?"

"Yeah," your mother said. "She's fine. She just have problems listening to Mommy and Daddy."

You knew what Odin meant once you felt a warm liquid pouring down from the sides of your nose. "I'll be fine Odin. Don't worry about me."

"Okay," he said with a worried and saddened tone. He also gave you a mixed look of curiosity and worry for you. He left the room, constantly looking back at you.

Since you didn't feel like being around your family, you walked to your room. You set the math textbook that encountered your face on your "bed", which consists of five blankets piled on each other and notebooks stuffed in a pillow cover. You looked out the window, hoping that you will live a better life than how you are currently living. Then you saw a familiar face outside.

Goten P.O.V

I walked along the streets, wondering what to do. Since Trunks can't be with me for now, I had to think of something to do. Gohan is gone, so what's the point of being elsewhere?

Dang Nazis...

I wish Janemba didn't show up and screw things up...

I just remembered someone...Dang. It has been so long since I've gone back to school...(Y/N)...(Y/N)!!!

I looked for my father's friend Chiaotzu, since I remember he has been walking her to school and home since the sleepover. Once I did find him, I asked, "Where is (Y/N)? I need to talk to her."

"(Y/N)?" he asked. "Oh yeah. She lives in the house in the middle of the block. But be careful. You can't just be asking for her. In fact, no one can. Her awful parents won't allow it. Try talking to her by the bedroom window."

I ran to the house and once I found it I sneaked through the backyard. I saw a girl looking out of the window, no sign of hope on her face. She was bleeding on her nose, a big bruise on her nose as well. Her clothes are very off-beat and ugly. Her hair in a really nice hairstyle.

I ran to the window and tapped on the glass.

She opened the window. "G-Goten?"

"That's me," I said. "How are you? What happened while we were gone?"

She hugged me. "I missed you and Trunks at school. People have been saying mean things to me. I have no one to talk to. My parents throw stuff at my face and beat me if I talk back to them. Odin, my brother, just happen to get the things he wanted yet I can't. How have things been?"

"I...I can't return back to school...Neither can Trunks. We want to return to school, but we can't. Trunks and I have to be training with our fathers. I want to go back. So does Trunks...but we can't. There's nothing we can do whatsoever."

I saw the saddened look on her face when I told her this. There's another reason I want to tell her, but will she believe me? No one does when I tell them the other reason, but I worry she will not as well. She hugged me even tighter.

"Promise me this," she said. "When I can leave the home, you and Trunks will take me and and protect me from all the bad people out there."

I hugged her back, wondering how angry Trunks will be if I told him I hugged her. "I promise."

"Who the hell is back there," I heard an angry voice yell.

I let go of her. "I have to go. I worry your parents have found me."

She looked at me with a sad expression. "I understand. Go. Now. Before they get here."

I left the place, fleeing from one of the worst parents I have encountered in my life.
