CHAPTER 17
COMPETITION
Russell's POV
It's been hell for me these past couple of days. Nagsabay lang naman ang exams week sa competition ng swimming team against other schools. I had to study hard to maintain my high grades and at the same time, make sure my team wins the game. Mataas ang expectation ng BHU from me and I didn't want to lose ever.
Wala sa bokabularyo ko ang matalo. Kahit kailan, hindi pa ako natatalo.
"Hi hubby! Sweet morning! Alam ko kumpleto na ang araw mo dahil nakita mo na ang ganda ko!" Napakunot ang noo ko nang bigla na lang lumitaw si Sab sa tabi ko.
How did she even know I'll be in the library at six in the morning? I didn't text her because I wanted her to have time to study hard. Baka masisi pa ako pag bumagsak siya. Her cousin's been glaring at me lately each time I see that woman. Magkadugo nga sila nitong si Sab. Both are weird and crazy.
"Nag-breakfast ka na?" tanong niya.
"Why are you here? How'd you find me?" I looked back to the book I'm reading. Nagre-review ako para sa exams mamaya.
"I asked you first. Answer me. Kumain ka na ba?"
Umiling lang ako at hindi umimik.
"Mabuti naman!" Walang ibang tao dito sa second floor kaya ayos lang kung malakas ang boses niya, though it's really early to be hearing such noise.
I raised an eyebrow at her. "What's so good with not having breakfast?"
"Tada!" She grinned the same time she raised a plastic bag in front of my face. I just gaze at it as she placed on the table.
"I bought you food. It's from your fave resto outside the campus." Nakangiti niyang inilabas ang mga pagkaing binili niya. There's bacon, egg and waffles. Tapos may hot coffee pa.
Pinagmasdan ko ang mukha niya habang inaayos niya ang mga iyon sa harapan ko. She seems so excited and happy.
Hindi ko naman siya inutusan pero binilhan niya pa rin ako ng makakain. Talagang lumabas pa siya ng campus dahil naalala niya siguro ang sinabi kong hindi ako basta basta kumakain ng pagkain galing sa ibang stores. She woke up early to do all these things for me.
I'm speechless.
Napatingin siya sa akin kaya umiwas agad ako ng tingin. I cleared my throat and frowned. "I'm busy studying."
