Tiptoe

— Chapter 24 —

"Alright, you two will be on the right," She says as she leads us through the dark restaurant.

She walks us to a table in the far corner, a more secluded and nicer looking one than the rest. The place itself is beautiful, with the darker linen lighting and the sensual color theme. The building also smells beautiful, which is surprising to Felix. Maybe he just hasn't been somewhere so luxurious.

Hyunjin smiles and thanks her, which causes her to smile back. He disregards her, and turns his attention back to Felix. With a sly expression, he pulls out a chair for Felix to sit in.

Felix eyes him, knowing what he is doing. He won't do or say anything petty with the waiter around however, in case she misunderstands. He smiles to Hyunjin and takes a seat in the chair. He walks around to the other side of the table, and sits in the other chair.

"Alright then." The waiter says, feeling the tension and wanting to leave already. "I'm Maya, I will be your server for today. Can I get you started with any drinks?"

Felix looks to Hyunjin, who is already looking at him. He shrugs his shoulders. Hyunjin looks back to the waiter with an apologetic smile. "How about just some red wine?"

"Any special brands?" She says, writing down something on her notepad.

"Uh.." he looks to Felix, who looks clueless. "You chose, anything you recommend." He says, smiling to her again with the same apologetic look.

She chuckles. "Okay."

She writes down something on her pad before she smiles to the males one last time, walking away afterwards. She isn't going to lie, she just wrote down a random brand. She doesn't drink and doesn't have any recommendations, she just didn't want to be with the two intimidating men.

Hyunjin turns to Felix, chuckling a bit. "That was so awkward." He says, shaking his head from the embarrassment.

Felix chuckles too. "Im sorry, I'm so bad at ordering.. I hope you know. You're in for way more tonight." He says, pursing his lips together.

"Oh god." Hyunjin says.

Felix giggles, making Hyunjin look up at him. They meet eyes, causing Hyunjin to smile. He likes it when the younger boy giggles like that, or he just likes the younger boy. It might be to early to admit, but he has grown fond of the younger boy.

Felix can't help but smile. "Why are you looking at me like that?" He tilts his head, fiddling with the rings on his fingers.

"Because you're pretty." Hyunjin says, his eyes crinkling as a little smile starts to spread across his face.

Felix's cheeks flush a little, the makeup he is wearing dies it down some however. He gets that same fluttery feeling in his body, spreading like wildfire as he looks at the man across from him. He feels unreal, right now.

"I uh—" he stutters, looking down into his lap shyly.

"Here are your drinks," Maya comes back, putting the two glasses down with a smile. She also places the bottle of wine down, leaving it for them. "Are you ready to order?"

"Um, yes, actually." Hyunjin says gently, lifting up the menu. "I'll have the.. number two?" He says, not familiar with the names and just saying the numbers listed.

"Okay." She writes it down with a smile. "Any extra sides?"

Hyunjin is about to answer, but he feels a little tap on his leg from Felix's foot. His eyes flick to Felix as he answers Maya's question, who motions to the menu and mouths 'order me the same thing'.
