The next day, Maya was expecting new students and she was right. There were loads of new people all of them were unfortunately guys. Everyone fell in lines, Aisha on one side of Maya and Eli on the other.
"Maybe Sensei will let you show off your moves," Hawk whispered, only after Johnny wasn't looking.
"You'd like that wouldn't you?" Maya whispered back, Eli's cheeks turning red although he tried to hide it with a smirk.
"So, which one of you has the balls to take on the champ?" Johnny asked as he went back to the front of the room.
"I'll take him on." Maya and the rest of the class turned around to see a girl with frizzy blonde hair in a crop top and leggings.
"She's fine." Hawk quickly looked at Maya, as she practically drooled over the girl.
"What?"
"Not hotter than you, Eli." Maya smiled at him, Hawk smiling back. The group backed away, all of them getting into a line around the mat as Miguel and the girl started to fight. As she held Miguel's head to the floor, holding his arm in the air as she revealed her name.
"Tory, with a 'Y'."

Maya walked into the gas station beside the dojo, Miguel wanted a water and Maya was practically craving a Dr. Pepper. She wasn't expecting to see Aisha or Tory. She grabbed a water and went to get her Dr. Pepper, which was closer to the back.
"Maya, did you get to meet Tory?" Maya raised her head as she closed the door to the store fridge.
"Nope." Maya flashed a smile to her, walking towards the two. "I'm Maya, you fought my brother, Miguel." Tory shook Maya's hand.
"Yeah, he's pretty good." Tory chuckled.
"Maya, would you wanna come to the beach club with us?" Aisha asked, Maya, sighing.
"I'd love to, but I'd have to ask Miggy first." Aisha groaned.
"Is he like in charge of you or something?" Tory asked, laughing a bit.
"No, he's just protective." Maya pulled out her phone.
Maya:i'm going to the beach club with Aisha and Tory
Miggy🤞🏼:What? Maya, you can't just run off with whoever.
Maya:dw i got ur water.
Miggy🤞🏼:Oh my god Maya, it's not about the water💀
Maya:it's just with Aisha and Tory, they kick ass. you won't have to worry abt me :)
Maya looked up.
"I'm going." Aisha smiled and nodded.
The three first went to their houses and got their clothes and bags they'd need for the trip. They all got dressed in their different outfits. Maya wore a dark blue top to match the dark blue and black flannel with jeans that frayed at the ends. She left the flannel open, fixing her hair in the mirror as she heard a honk from outside.
The flannel just so happened to be Eli's, he'd left it at her house after they crashed Yasmine's party. Maya climbed inside Aisha's mom's car, the three girls giggling in the back as they tried to conceal their conversations from a parental ear.
"I'm drowning in rich people," Maya muttered, seeing the people all around her who had expensive clothes or jewelry.
"Why are they so dressed up for the beach?" Tory asked, Aisha shrugging.
