After another karate practice and Johnny's speech about how Kreese was no longer going to be a Sensei there and there was a difference between no mercy and no honor, Miguel walked up to Maya as she draped her legs on Eli's lap.

"Maya, I need your help." Maya groaned. She head-butted at least fifteen people and the Tylenol hadn't settled in yet.

"My help?"

"Yeah, Sensei wants to try a dating app." Maya groaned, practically already feeling another headache coming on.

"I don't feel like banging my head against a wall today." Hawk chuckled, and Maya rubbed the temples of her head.

"C'mon, he needs help with girls, and you're a girl, you can give us some insight." Miguel pleaded.

"I'm not a 50-year-old woman who'd be interested in Johnny." Miguel glared at Maya, although she couldn't see him through her closed eyes.

"C'mon, Maya." She sighed.

"Fine." Miguel smiled.

"Oh, also I need help finding an outfit for 80's night." Maya slowly sat up.

"80's night?"

"Me and Tory are having a date night at the roller rink she works at, the theme is the 80s." Maya groaned.

"Why does everyone have girl problems?" Miguel rolled his eyes, knowing that she'd help him anyways.

~

"Okay. The app is downloaded. What type of women are you looking to meet?" Maya and Johnny stared at Miguel.

"Super-hot babes. Dumb question, Miguel." Maya rolled her eyes.

"Okay, what are your likes?"

"My likes?" Johnny asked.

"Mm-hmm."

"What am I supposed to say? Long walks on the beach? I like muscle cars, martial arts, and Iron Eagle. And Iron Eagle II. Why aren't you texting this down? Computer dating's your idea." Miguel sighed.

"Look, you have to take this seriously." Miguel pleaded.

"It used to be simple. Find a chick at a bar. Bump into her hard, but not too hard. Pretty hard. Then you buy her a beer." Maya raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, no," Maya muttered.

"Tried and true, Little Diaz. That's how the cavemen did it. Cavemen. That's another like. You know, like the ones in those insurance commercials." Maya shook her head.

"Look, I think I can fill out the rest of this on my own. What about clothes? What are you wearing?" Miguel asked.

"You gonna teach me about fashion now?" Johnny asked rhetorically.

"Might have to," Maya said, pinching the bridge of her nose. "So, I was thinking, a buttoned-up shirt and some distressed jeans. Do you have any?" Maya asked.

"I have old jeans if that's what you're saying." His phone then chimed. "Hey! There's a chick on my app." Maya giggled.

"All right. Just swipe right if you like her and we'll set up a bunch of dates." Miguel instructed.

"This is dumb. You can't find anything out about a chick from one-" Johnny stopped. "Ooh, this one's hot." Maya laughed.

"Maya, come in here!" Maya sighed, walking into Johnny's room that she wished she could clean.

"Would this be good for 80's night?" Maya looked at a red jacket in Johnny's closet for a moment. She wondered why Johnny still had it, it looked too small to fit him anymore.

"Yeah."

"Hey, can I borrow this jacket?" Miguel asked, yelling from the other room.

"Yeah, sure!"

~

Maya sat in her room, bored out of her mind. She didn't want to bother Eli, but without Miguel around there was no one to entertain Maya. Maya heard a ping from her phone while she was watching Steve Wilkos, she paused the video and picked up her phone.

???:hey, this is Robby.

Maya:oh, hey!

Robby🤷🏼‍♀️:yeah, I got your # from Demetri. I thought you'd like to see a video of Mr. LaRusso getting back the medal

Maya:you took a video?

Robby🤷🏼‍♀️:yeah.
Robby🤷🏼‍♀️:*1 video attached*

Maya:aw he's so happy, thx for the video.

Robby🤷🏼‍♀️:np

Maya smiled, setting down her phone, and started to unpause her TV when there was another ping from her phone.

Eli🤍:hey, Miguel told me he's out on a date with Tory

Maya:yeah, I had to help him with his outfit lol.

Eli🤍:can I come over?

Maya:if you want.

Eli🤍:okay, I'll be there in a second.

Maya waited until Eli came inside through the window. Maya realized he hadn't styled his hair, his hair was down and it hung in his eyes a bit.

"I have to say, I like the mohawk but I like this better." Eli smiled, plopping down beside her.

"Thanks." He pushed a string of hair behind Maya's ear. Maya's hair curled at the ends, and sometimes it sucked when her curls tangled together but Maya liked them anyways. "I like your curls." Maya smiled.

"Thank you, Eli." Maya snuggled down into her bed, laying her head on his chest.

"What're you watching?" He asked as Maya grabbed her remote.

"Steve Wilkos, I like the drama." Eli chuckled, as Maya pressed play.
