"Ready?" Daniel asked, ready for what?

"Let's begin!" Johnny yelled.

"Uh, begin what exactly?" Demetri asked as if he read everyone's minds.

"Begin a new era. Many of us used to be enemies. But rivalries don't need to last forever." Maya could feel Hawk's eyes on her just as Daniel said this. "The All Valley Tournament is just a few months away, and this year, the stakes are higher than they've ever been. We know that Cobra Kai is gonna use every dirty trick in the book. There's only one way we're gonna be able to beat-"

"By kicking their asses so hard they shit themselves. We gotta take things to the next level. I'm gonna teach you an aggression stronger than anything Cobra Kai can throw at us. They strike first? We'll pre-strike!" Johnny shouted.

"Okay, we're getting ahead of ourselves. We are going to respond to what they do." Daniel held his hands up as if he were holding them back.

"Eagles do not respond. They swoop down and take whatever they want. That's what we're gonna do. Take back the Valley." Johnny glared at Daniel.

"Take it back in a measured and organized approach," Daniel argued.

"We bite first!" Johnny yelled back, causing Daniel to sigh.

"Okay, let's just warm up with some simple exercises," Daniel added softly.

"All right, line up!" Johnny yelled, Maya left Hawk's side and stood beside Miguel.

"And just breathe and follow me." Maya heard Daniel say, how could she focus with two voices overlapping each other?

"Fighting positions! Right leg back. Front kick ready. Hi-yah!" Johnny shouted, and Maya heard a thud, she then saw a Miyagi Do student on the floor, Penis Breath had accidentally kicked him.

"Shit, dude. I'm sorry." He whispered as the boy groaned on the floor.

Sparring, one of Maya's favorite things to do, except Johnny hadn't chosen her to fight yet. She sighed, seeing two Eagle Fang students fight. Why hadn't she been chosen yet? Was Johnny mad at her or something?

"Okay up next," Johnny paused looking at the ground. His eyes stuck on Hawk, and then went to Maya, he'd do her a favor. This would be the only time she could really beat the shit out of him with an excuse. "Ms. Diaz and Hawk." Maya smiled, quickly walking up to the place they'd been instructed to spar. "Ready...? Fight!" Johnny said, placing his hand in between the two.

"Sensei, I can't-" Hawk started, but Maya spun and kicked him in the face.

"Good, Ms. Diaz!" Maya smiled. "Again!" Johnny shouted. Hawk stood again, knowing it would piss Maya off if he didn't fight back, getting in his fighting position. Maya was able to block and avoid his hits for the most part, she kicked him away from her and then spun again, kicking him in the face which landed him on the ground. "Ms. Diaz wins this one." Johnny smiled, fist-bumping Maya.

"Mr. LaRusso?" Maya looked up, as did everyone else, as a boy walked inside. Maya recognized him immediately, he recognized her too.

"Isaac, I wasn't expecting you." Daniel went down to greet him, and Maya could see a small bandage on his nose. She guessed it was from the fight with Robby. "Guys this is Isaac Beckhard, one of my best students." Maya felt her chest rise and fall quickly, it wasn't from the lung cancer this time. She ran off, going to the front of the dojo.

Placing her face in her hands, she tried to calm her breathing. If she had a panic attack, she could burst the tumor. Demetri realized Maya wasn't at the sparring place anymore, when he went to look for her, he found her sitting in front of the dojo with her face in her hands as if she were crying. The thing was, she wasn't, Demetri could hear how hard she was breathing. Why was she having a panic attack? Demetri quickly sat beside her, putting a hand on her shoulder. She gasped, pulling away.
