I sat on the roots waiting for Neteyam and his did. to get done talking. I didn't really have much on my mind.

"Hey y/n" Kiri said walking over waving at me.

I waived back at her and smiled, "hey Kiri what's up"

"Not too much, just my brother getting yelled at for leaving all night again without warning" she said laughing.

"That's my fault, I should to say something" I said standing.

"Don't worry about it, I'm sure they'll understand if he tells them" she said stopping me. "They thought you got taken or something"

"Oh gosh they must of been worried," I said looking over to where the clan is.

"No, I think they would have been worried if he didn't answer" she said laughing. "You guys?"

"What?" I asked her confused.

"Have you guys you know yet?" Kiri said nudging me.

"Oh no, no, we're waiting till we become of age and we know his parents approve" I said putting my hand up.

"They approve, we all see how much you two connect" Kiri said. "Do you want me to braid your hair? With it being that long I can see it being annoying" she said grabbing my hair.

"I love my hair flowing free," I said shaking it for her to see.

Kiri smiled at me, "yes but it can still flow free with braids without the knots"

I looked at her and smiled, "if you'd like to that's okay with me," I said thinking how Neteyam liked braids in my hair.

"Come sit," she said taking my hand ti where she could sit at a higher level to braid better.

I sat where she told me to and felt her braiding my hair it was nice.

"If you want, I can take you back to the hut and put beads and shells in your hair." Kiri told me.

"No that's okay, I'm sure they're still talking anyways" I told her.

"True true," she said laughing. "So how are you feeling?" She asked.

"I'm doing much better than I was a few weeks ago. Barely any flashbacks" I said.

Kiri grabbed my shoulders "that's great" she said turning to face me.

"What" I said smiling.

"You're so sweet, i can't wait for Tuk and Neteyam to see you hair" she said going back and braiding it.

I had no clue what I was going to look like given I didn't have a mirror on me. I felt her getting done with my hair and slightly brushed it with her fingers.

"I know you cannot see it but trust me when I say it looks great," she said standing up and stepping infront of me. "It should keep your hair out of your face as well"

"I like the way it feels," I said still feeling my hair flow, "but why didn't you do braids like the other Navi?" I asked.

"Because that doesn't fit you, you needed something different" she said looking to her side. I stood up to give her a hug and thank her.

When I stood I noticed a group of guys walking over to us. I looked at her and she rolled her eyes starring at me. I looked back at the group. Aonung and his friends.

I took a deep breath and grabbed Kiris hand to walk away. I turned with her and tried to leave.

"Hey where you going freak?" I heard Aonung yell as he ran up behind us. "Oh two freaks" he said laughing.

We were still trying to walk away until he grabbed our shoulders causing us to stop and he turned us around. Kiri put her hands on her head upset.

"No," I said. I just wanted to spend time with the sullys. "Leave" I said pointing my finger.

"We're here to only talk" Rotxo said behind him chipping in.

I took a step back with Kiri behind me. "I don't wish to talk" I said with a hiss.

"Look I only want to apologize," he said with a smirk turning his head to a friend.

"Good," Kiri said behind me.

"For your being a freak of nature that is," Aonung said laughing.

I took a deep breath as I felt Kiri place her hand on my arm. This man is pushing my buttons.

"I mean seriously how can you walk around and seem so confident when you are weak, you not better than a traitor" he said stepping closer.

I closed my eyes getting angry. I didn't feel a flashback this time but I did feel like I was ready to punch him first this time.

"You turned your back on your own species for a world that didn't want you," Rotxo added in.

"Leave now," Kiri said trying to get them to go.

Aonung and Rotxo ignored her looking at me.

"I mean seriously what did it feel like?" Aonung said shoving my shoulder.

"What do you want," I asked gritting my teeth.

"What did it feel like to die knowing you did nothing to help," he said.

Kiri gasped at what he said and took a step back as I looked at him deadly in his eyes.

"That you failed Eywa, you are the true disappointment," Aonung said shoving me again.

"You want to know what it felt like to die?" I asked coldly stepping back up the his face.

"Oh she might actually tell us," Rotxo said pulling Aonung back laughing.

"Y/n let's just go," Kiri said grabbing my hand.

"I'm no going anywhere," I said pulling my hand away.

I walked back over to Aonung and shoved him harder than he shoved me.

"I failed no one, I did just what I had to and you wouldn't understand because Eywa would never," I said stopping looking Into his eyes with hate, "never, chose someone as ignorant, childish, and stupid like you. You are the one who is a disappointment not I"

Aonung got pissed and stood up taller towering me again.

"Eywa didn't choose you," he said, "you are still a sky demon and will be nothing more."
