It's been a week since I met with Quaritch. I started placing certain people in certain positions such as spotting in the skies and ground.

There have been a few ships that I have been called to along with other parts of the war party. So far there's been no deaths just injuries but I feel it in my gut things are going to start to get worse.

I was standing on the ledge in the war paint Neytiri gave me which was the basic Toruk Makto paint and the clothes she had made for me.

I stood there with my bow looking over the edge into the sky watching some of the spotters coming back.

I turned and went into our hut seeing Neteyam. I had become more of a boss and commander in this last week. It was the only way for people to respect my authority in a sense.

I looked at him and told him to stand just by looking at him. I hugged him quickly pulling away and looked him in the eyes. "I need to go to the tree of voices love,"

"If you wish, do you want just me to come?" Neteyam asked me.

"Yes just you," I said giving him a kiss and grabbing his hand.

I walked us out of the hut over to the parents, "we are going to the tree of voices, I need to speak to Eywa," I said to them so they didn't worry.

"Okay y/n, do you want us to come," Jake asked.

"No, I need you guys to stay here and watch while I'm out, call for us if there is something," I said to them nodding.

They respected what I said and got up to watch outside the hut.

I called Iris and hopped on her as Neteyam hopped on his.

I try to leave Toruk only for ear needs as running errands or doing things for fun felt wrong.

"Let's go," I said twisting Iris and free falling with neteyam for a second before catching ourselves.

"You look beautiful when you fly y/n," neteyam yelled over to me making me smile.

"And you look like a mighty warrior who looks magically handsome," I said getting closer to him.

We twisted around each other in the air as a way to flirt before continuing to fly straight.

We flew until we got to the forest line with the tree of voices.

I hopped off Iris and started to walk to the tree with neteyam right behind me. I grabbed his hand as we walked.

We got to the tree and stopped together looking at it all of its beauty.

"She's truly beautiful," I said turning to neteyam.

"You are as well love, she made you just as beautiful if not more," he said kissing my forehead.

Since this war has started it started to feel like we weren't being as close as we used to be but he understood the pressure I was under.

"I really want to talk with her alone, can you stand out here for a second?" I asked him looking at him with doe eyes.

"Of course love, I will stand in the tree so I'm hidden, but I will stand far enough away for you to have your privacy," he said kissing my forehead three times.

I looked at him before he walked away and pulled him in for a kiss on the lips.

He smiled at me and nodded his head saying to do what I need to do.

I turned and walked into the tree and grabbed some limbs with one hand and grabbed my queue with my other.

I connected the limbs and felt Eywa around me.

"Eywa, I feel the biggest part of the war coming and I need help, they will destroy us," I said to her.

"My child, my heart beat lives in you, what I can do you can," she said leaving me puzzled.

"Just like Kiri, you both have talents and a closeness to me in which you have special gifts." She said.

"How have I never known," I asked.

"You have always known child, you just have yet to open yourself up to them, but now you will be able to," Eywa told me.

"Will we pull out of this okay?" I asked

"I cannot say that for sure, but what I can say, I have eyes all around and above, but you have eyes on the inside of the war, use it to your advantage,"

"Thank you great mother," I said in cheer.

I came back to reality and pulled my queue away from the limbs. I was thinking about what she said, I have gifts?

"Are you all set," Neteyam asked coming back to me.

"Yes love, I believe I am," I said smiling.

"What has you all smiling, you haven't smiled all week," he said making a serious face mocking me.

"I have a gift," I said.

"Well yeah, you're a natural leader but I didn't think Eywa had to point that out," he said like it was obvious.

"No you skxawng," I said rolling my eyes, "I have, gifts," looking at my hands

"Wait what," he said "what kind,"

"I don't know, but I feel her now, I feel Eywas strength in me," I said. "She said something about Kiri having a gift like mine,"

"We kind of figured that when she tamed her Ikran, she didn't have to fight it, she just connected," neteyam said like he already knew.

"I wish to run in the forest love," I said grabbing his hand.

"No I don't think it's safe," he said stopping me.

I looked at him with a dirty look. "If you don't come, I go alone," I said still holding his hand.

"Fine," he said smiling and running out of the tree with me.

We were running through the forest and I had a thought. I haven't seen a direhorse the whole time I've been here.

I don't know what caused me to think of that but I was hoping I could see one.

I could feel the presence of some near by and as me and neteyam ran hand in hand I called to them in my head and tried to direct them to us.

I felt them getting closer and the next thing I knew they were all around me and neteyam.

I looked at neteyam still smiling, "I did this," I said.

"What?" He said looking around us. "How?"

"I don't know, I basically asked them to come to us and I can feel them, what they're thinking and how they feel," I said

"We should get on one," he said looking out at them.

I looked at one of the Direhorses and asked it to allow neteyam on him as he ran and after that I picked mine out.

I let go of neteyam hand and we both jumped on a dire horse connected the Queues.

I looked over to neteyam and we rode with the herd and smiled tossing my head back and laughing.

Neteyam just looked at me with joy in his eyes admiring me.

I switched the direction of the heard and just felt so much strength running through me. Eywa opened a door I didn't know I had.
