Amina's eyes rapidly fluttered from the sunlight that was beaming into her bedroom, she grabbed her phone and squinted her morning sensitive eyes so they could adjust as she attempted to read what was on her Lock Screen. Out of habit, she always grabbed her phone as soon as she woke up. Amina furrowed her eyebrows together at Rashad's name. She rubbed her eyes as she sat up against her headboard.

Rashad
Why you ain't been coming to the club?

And when we gonna finish the Lego?

Amina wasn't surprised that he texted her, she was surprised that he was texting her at 5am like a psycho. She couldn't help but to wonder why she was on his mind so early in the morning. Her thumb rapidly moved up and down as she contemplated on what she was gonna say back, granted both questions only required simple answers back but oddly Amina was overthinking it.

Idk..and whenever is fine w me.

She finally replied to the message before heading into her bathroom, she quickly gargled with mouthwash before squeezing toothpaste onto her toothbrush and brushing her teeth. Amina eyed herself while brushing her teeth, she noticed the progression of her scars healing, the most visible part was now fading away. This reminded her that time healed all wounds. Mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Now that the physical wound was healing, she was now working on the mental wound. The thought of what could've happened if Rashad wasn't there haunted her and sent cold chills throughout her body, She could almost still feel the end of the gun pressed against her head and the way he forcefully held her neck. Amina let out a deep sigh in hopes of shaking the negative thoughts. Rashad was right, she was here and the other nigga wasn't. The incident was traumatic, but she slept better knowing her robber was dead.

Once her face and body was cleansed and moisturized, she slipped into todays outfit. She had a few tape in appointments and those girls always wanted their head dyed jet black to compliment the install, so she decided to keep her outfit simple. An outkast tapestry hoodie, a pair of Alo Yoga bootcut leggings, and a black pair off UGG lows fit the simple category. She removed her bonnet and let down her 613 mane, she was gravitating toward the 613 color a lot these days, agreeing that it in fact complimented her hue.

The curls that she did on herself a few days ago were still in tact, so she decided to stretch them for one more day before switching to a new style. After stopping at Dunkin' and getting a coffee she made her way to the suite. She turned on her lights before turning on her suite playlist, Mad by Solange began to play causing Amina to slowly bob her head to the aria.

"GoodMorning." A woman's voice greeted from behind her, Amina turned around to see who she assumed to be her client. A fair skinned woman that stood at about 5'5. She was dressed in a long cargo skirt and a black cropped turtleneck.

"GoodMorning—are you Mariah?" Amina questioned as she removed the hair cape from around her chair.

She nodded her head yes, "I had the 9am appointment for the wash, dye, and tape ins."

Amina nodded her head, "It's nice to meet you." She spoke in a sing song voice, happy to still be receiving new clients.

"You were recommended to me by someone close to me." She announced, sat sat in the chair and pulled her phone out of her small Hermes Kelly. "Oh wow—who?" Amina questioned as she draped the cape over Mariah's body and snapped it around her neck. She removed the black hair tie that was holding Mariah's hair into a ponytail and handed it over to her.
