??? Pov:

" Ouma, where are you going?"  I coldly asked.

"... Hell I guess." He answered, without turning his face.
Then, he dizzyly and slowly walked to the elevator and went up.

"I'm also leaving." Saihara muttered, looking at the floor.

"Yeah... See you later sidekick!" Kaito patted the detective's sholder.

Guess is time to go as well. I took the elevator with the two boys while everyone else stayed in the trial grounds.

"Bye." I waved to them and went to the school building. I saw Kaito heading to the casino... I should probably check on him in a few hours before that idiot loses all his money.

But now... I might go get something to eat from the kitchen before night time. Probably the others are going directly to the dorms after the trial, so I'll finaly have some time alone.

I opened the dining room door and took an apple from the fruit basket on top of the kitchen counter, but when I was going to turn around to leave, i noticed someone sat in the the other side of the furniture.

I wasn't expecting to have this talk now. But i think this may be the best chance I'll have...

I sat beside the Ultimate supreme leader. He held his knees close to his chest and stared at the wall in front of us.

"... Hi Ouma" i started. The boy shook his head and glanced at me.

Kokichi's Pov:

"Oh, didn't see you there, Maki-san."

What is she doing here?

She hates you

She is going to kill you

You deseve it after all

You only caused them to suffer

You killed Yumeno

It's your fault again

Just like when you killed Gonta and Miu

Do you really think they forgave you?

They didn't. You're not the only liar.

"How are you doing?" Maki's voice interrupted my thoughts.

"Well! Why shouldn't I?" I smiled.

For my surprise, the girl didn't glare at me nor show any signs of anger. She just nodded.

"I might regret this. But Ouma, thank you."

...
WHAT?!

"...For what you did in the last game."

Ohh... So that's it!

"You shouldn't say that." I mumbled.

"May I ask why?"

"I didn't jump from that window only because of you."

"You dodn't?" Maki raised an eyebow.

...shit

Shut up, me. Don't talk to her.

"Nothing. What about you? How are you going?" I changed the subject.

Maki stood silent.

...
And there we were. Sitting on the kitchen's floor, sharing a silence which said all the words we weren't saying.
It wasn't awkward. It felt right.

"Well... I'm leaving!" I uttered, 10 minutes later, geting up.

The assassin also stood up and we both headed to the big door.
While we walked, I decided to break the silence.

"Hey, where are you going now?" I asked, looking back at her.

"I'm probably getting Kaito from the casino. He will be broken if I let him there the rest of the night."

I couldn't help but to laugh.

"Humm! That idiot-"

BOOM

I fell to the ground when I hit againt the wall.
"...well... That one hurt" i said in my jokeful voice, rubbing my forehead with my left hand.

And then, I listened. Something I thought I would only listen at my own funeral...

Maki... Was laughing at me.
I never saw her even smile...

My eyes widened and i opened my mouth in surprise.

"NO WAY I MADE YOU LAUGH!" I shouted.

Maki's laughter became giggles as she wiped a tear from the corner of her eye.

"Hey, you saw nothing, Ouma." She said, still smiling.

"OH I DID SEE SOMETHING MISS ASSASSIN! MOMOTA-CHAN! YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE IT!" I screamed, running out of the building, in the casino's direction.

"Ohh... You're gonna regret this." Maki chased me until she eventually got to me. Guess i was betrayed by my lack of stamina.

"Ok, you win this one Maki-san!" I surrendered, raising my hands.

"Then I let you leave with life. Bye" she said.

"Haha, bye Maki. Thank you for distracting me a little" i smiled.

Maki looked in confusion, but I ran to my dorm before we could continue our talking.

I locked myself at my bedroom and threw my body at my bed.

The joy I had with Maki ended. Now... I'm all alone with my thoughts again.

Yumeno died because of you
Die already, so you don't cause more deaths
You're useless
She didn't deseve dying
You were suposed to die, not her
You were the target, not her
Die
No one will care.

That's right. I should pay from my sins.

T/W here

I got up.
I opened the bathroom door and searched for my razor...
Found it.
Rolling up my white sleeve, I started drawing lines in my skin.

You deseve this

I know.

It was your fault

Hum hum... Got it.

You're nothing more than a dead weight

You're right.

After a few cuts, I washed the razor and my arm, not stopping the multiple blood drops from dripping.

And then, went to sleep. I'll wait for tomorrow's nightmare.
