After not getting know information at the new Haven children's home
I went to the courthouse explained my situation. Sorry sir we can't help you, the older woman tells me
I feel like I'm going in circles in this town. I'm no closer in finding Francesca, none will tell anything
I believe somebody knows something
I won't leave this place until I find what I came here for. I'm doing this for my son who's sick, l could kill McKenzie for abandoning us
Maybe it's my fault for what happened. It had to be done and that's all to it, now I'm on my way to Seattle children's hospital and have a meeting with the doctor regarding my son's condition. I enter inside the hospital to meet Dr. Sutton who's head of predicates, I follow her down to the conference room where I was introduced to Dr. Carmichael who's the oncologist I shake her hand
And then there's Dr. Green
It's such pleasure in meeting you all
I heard so many wonderful things about your hospital. Shall we get down to business, my son was recently diagnosed with leukemia six months ago and his doctor said he needed a bone marrow transplant in order to save his life. His best chance in surviving this ugly disease is to find a living relative with the same blood type, he has a sister on his mother side. David explains, Mr. Matthews we received your son's records and we went over them thoroughly.
Dr. Sutton and I feel optimistic about your son's prognosis. The bone marrow transplant doesn't necessarily have to come from a family member. It can come from an anonymous donor, we can put him on the registry. Dr. Green said to me
No no l don't want a complete stranger's bone marrow. His sister Francesca is the perfect candidate
It has to be her David States, Mr. Matthews we understand that this hard for you but who's say that this girl will be a match for your son
Do you know we're this child you kept persisting about is. Dr. Green asks
No l was told she leaves in Seattle
I'm not gonna stop until l find her and she will be a match for her brother
I feel it my gut, l know you all think
I'm crazy but my son is terribly ill and she's the only one to bring him back to the little boy he wants was David replied. Trust me I get it you want him to be okay, Dr. Sutton responds
What do we do in the mean time while we wait David asked. Well his oncologist here is going to run some tests and see what we're looking at and then start him on a round of chemotherapy Dr. Sutton said
Can I go up and see him first before you perform your initial test David Stated. Yes he's up on the sixth floor room 656, Dr. Green tells me
I stand up and leave the conference room. Way to go David you need this
Why are pushing for this so badly,
David says to himself. Guilt was the best way to describe what David's feeling at the present moment, something he's been struggling with for years. David's mind keeps replaying the night he left Francesca on the church steps, he thought he could Xscape the dreams that kept him up at night. Thoughts of Francesca filled his mind over and over again, he hears her cries in his nightmares. David steps on to the elevator, going up to the sixth floor
His girlfriend Courtney was due to fly out to Seattle tomorrow. They have been dating for a year, she knows nothing about my past mom loves her
David walks out of the elevator and heads down the hallway to his son's room.
