Lena's POV
We were waiting on Dr. Bailey to finish up hope's clinical assessment. Grace was spending the day with my mom while we took Hope for her appointment, we've been sitting here for two hours. Stef has been holding my hand,we were both concerned about the outcome of the results from the doctor. I'm trying to remain optimistic about this whole situation, love you need to think positive whatever the outcome is we have the funds to hire someone who specializes in this type of learning disability that hope has Stef said. You're right we can get through this Lena replies, finally the door opens up and Dr. Bailey steps out
Mrs. And Mrs foster Adams can you please come with me Dr. Bailey says to us, Stef and I got up from our seats then followed her into this other room. She takes a seat and places a file on the table, first let me start out by saying that you and your wife have done a remarkable job with raising hope
She's a very bright and intelligent three year old little girl who's so full of life Dr. Bailey States. Thank you I tried to work with them individually as much as I can Lena informed the doctor, l'm not questioning that at all but Hope is going to have some challenges the older she gets
Have you heard of centroid auditory processing. Sometimes children around Hope's age have a hard time processing certain information, it goes in but it doesn't stick. Rest assured the disorder is treatable
As l said she might have some delays with details in a story and putting things in order, she may prove us wrong and out grow it. There's a special school that deals with children in Hope's case called noble academy the director is a good friend of mine Dr. Langston hope tells me she has a twin sister named Grace, hope talked a lot about grace during our visit. It seems to me their very close, at this stage in there development l think it would be a good idea. to put them in separate schools to see how well they do without each other
Hope needs to build her socialize skills away from grace cause that's all she knows
Each child has their own personalities, hope needs to enact with other kids her age outside of grace Dr. Bailey explains, l take in everything she's saying at the same time my heart is breaking into a million pieces
I don't think neither Stef or I was ready to hear the doctors recommendation. We really appreciate you taking time out your schedule to meet with us Stef Stated, l needed to excuse myself from the table and go get some air. Stef tried to get me to stay
But my eyes were beginning to welled up
After hearing diagnosis if she suggests that we separate hope and grace, l carried inside me for nine months this can cause more harm than good for both our daughters. I wanna get a second opinion
Because I don't received this, it has to be some else we're missing. Once I was outside
I burst into tears for our little girl, as l think why was God punishing me. I've always done right by other people this was going to be a hard pill to swallow, mommy why are you crying Hope came out along with Stef
I didn't want her seeing me like this. Baby mommies okay Lena says to Hope, Stef knows this was hard on me. I'm gonna get the car she said to me, l pulled Hope on my lap and hugged her tight. Mommy momma told me that we were going out for lunch
Hope says, yes we are going to go grab a bite to eat Lena informs her daughter
Stef pulls up in front l carry hope to the car and get her strapped into her car seat,
I got in the front seat and didn't say a thing
The whole way to the restaurant. Stef knew l needed time to process all this information,
