The begining of a new chapter

Lena's: POV
It's been a week since we've returned from our family vacation in Montana. Things have been running smoothly, the contractors have finished the work on the second house. The inspector came over and did his inspection on the new group home
It met up to his standards once Tom was through he gave me a certificate stating the house had passed all the state requirements
For me to run a safe environment for the kids to come here. Tom had me worried at first when he came in with his team of experts, the electrician made sure all the wiring property was secure. The plumber came in and checked everything with a fine tooth comb, before Tom left he went outside to check under the house to see about struture. Then the guys came check on the heating and the air conditioner, they were here for over an hour to make sure everything was running properly, after Tom was finished he came back inside with a check list, he checked off that he saw was in excellent condition. All the appliances were practically brand new, l signed my name on the documents Tom handed me to see. After l was done signing all the paperwork, Tom gave me a copy of all the stuff he looked at. All the permits were update, thanks again Tom for taking time out of your busy schedule Lena shakes Toms hand and walked him to the door, l made sure he got off the property safely
Part of me wish Stef was here but unfortunately she had to cater a funtion at the restaurant which l understood cause it was short notice. I'm just waiting for the other guy to get though, so l could go pick up the girls from their grandparents house
Everybody has been paid for their services
I just wanted to get home and have myself a nice hot bubble bath hopefully mama feed Hope and Grace dinner cause l wasn't feeling up to cooking tonight. I think l'm coming down with something cause my throat is all scratchy and my glands are swollen to the point l can barely swallow
Little did l know l wouldn't be able to talk due some virus that was going around,
Mrs. Foster Adams l looked over your heating and AC unit seems to be intact
Do you know the water heater was brand new and so was the air conditioner. You should be good for the next 10 to 15 years if it's taken properly, just make sure you change the filter again in four months Keith tells me. I really appreciate you looking over the water heater and air conditioner
Lena says to the attractive man. Who smiles at her with the most amazing eyes she's ever seen. I would you don't mind me saying your a very beautiful woman bossy lady Keith flirts, apparently he didn't see the wedding ring on my finger, thank you for the compliment but you see l'm a happily married woman Lena didn't want to reveal too much that she was a lesbian she says to Keith. Damn why are all the good women taken Keith states down. He had me sign a pink slip saying everything was done correctly, you have my number
in case you run into any problems Keith said, l'll remember to keep that in mind you enjoy the rest of your after Mr. Settled Lena says to the young man she sees to the door
Lena locks all the doors and turns on the alarms before she leaves out to head to her car that was parked in the garage. Francessa is staying after school to work on a science project her friends is bringing her home later on, the grand opening isn't for another week. I asked Stef would she mind catering my event, she was so happy l asked her then somebody else. Her restaurant is one in the news paper under best restaurants of the month, l'm so proud of her for doing some things she loves.
I got in my car and started up the engire and Lena backs out after pushing the button to that lifts the garage door open
Lena drives on though there's not a vehicle in sight.
