While the girls and l were home preparing Lena's welcome home celebration. Margaret went to pick her up from the hospital, we baked Lena's favorite cookies
Chocolate chip pecan. For dinner we made
Baked chicken breast garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus, the grace and Hope were super excited to hear Lena was coming home, Grace has been rather distant since Lena was in the hospital
Grace is such a mommy's girl she's always been attached to Lena since she was a baby
I think she was suffering from separation anxiety disorder. When a parent is gone for extended periods of time, children Grace's age goes through this stage, we hung a banner up outside and the girls actually stayed in the lines while coloring the picture l drew up. They have been looking forward to this project all Day, we went to Michael's earlier to pick up some supplies for our art project. Luckily it was arts and crafts day, the girls were able to participate in, they made all sorts of cool crafts such as jewelry boxes out of Popsicle sticks, coffee mugs out of clay. They have arts and crafts every second Friday, l got the girls signed up. This would keep them busy. Tomorrow they have their swimming lesson at YMCA
It's only for two hours, they've only been doing this for a year. They actually gotten good at it, Monday's it's reading day at the library, Lena has them Involved in a few activities. They really enjoy doing different things, alright babies let's clean up before mommy gets here. Nana texted me to say

Stef said to Grace and Hope, yay mommies coming home Hope jumps up and down
Gracie aren't you happy about mommy l told you Grace it's all you been talking about how you missed mommy all week long. Hope looks in her sister's eyes

They always had unspoken code without words. Sometimes they could tell what other was feeling, Stef begins cleaning up the kitchen. She listens to the twins conversation, mama nana just pulled into the driveway Hope said to me. Alright alright, is everything set out Stef asks Grace
Yes momma Grace replies. Stef finishes up washing the dish, then she dries off hands
With the paper towel. Stef and the girls head to the front door, l opened up the door
Wide. So the three of us walked out onto the porch and waited until Lena exit the vehicle to go and greet her. Stef knew things would slowly get back to normal
again since, Lena's back home she contain her own excitement unlike Grace and Hope
Stef stayed calm cool and collected. As Margaret gets out the car first walking towards the back to retrieve Lena's from the back seat. Mama why isn't mommy getting out yet Grace looks up at me with those bright blue eyes, and asks me.

A little time l'm sure she'll get out soon alright Stef was starting to become concerned herself. Stef couldn't imagine
How Lena must feel about being in the hospital for two weeks, let me go see if mommy needs help getting out of the mini van okay stay here with Hope Stef told her three year old daughter. She walks down the steps of the porch, mom is Lena feeling alright cause she's been sitting in there for over five minutes Stef inquires. We had to swing by the pharmacy to get her prescrible filled, on the way here
Lena became a little overwhelmed
The nurse said Lena should get plenty of rest. And she will be kinda of weak for a few weeks, all Lena talked about on the way here how much she missed you and the girls. The doctor wants to her to drink
Those meal replacements shakes, until she gets her appetite back fully. Lena's still healing from the lung infection we don't want her to over do it and end up back in that hospital Margaret explains to me,
But why is Lena still sitting inside the car
I thought she would be excited after spending too weeks in the hospital
I implied. She fell asleep on the way here
The medication the doctor has Lena on
Knocks her out l'm sure she's awake by now
