Stef's: POV
We just pulled up to the docks to take a boat around Baltimore harbor. All the girls were given life jackets, Lena and I were expert swimmers. It was a Crispy sunny Friday morning in Baltimore, so far things were going well. Despite Lena was in a lot of pain from her injury on her forearm, l know she didn't cancel the boat ride cause the kids were looking forward it. I saw what looked like a yacht coming towards us, hope was holding my hand. Grace Lena and Francesca were sitting down near the pier watching the other boats go by, every since Lena's accident Grace along with Francesca have been sticking close to Lena more than usual. I know they needed reassurance, she gave the affection they crave even it was hugs here and there. This help put their minds at ease, once the yacht pulled up the older man got out to help the girls on board. Mama can you carry me Hope asks me, l leaned down and picked her up then we walked over to where the gentleman was waiting for us. I stepped on the boat and sat hope down, once we were all in. The man got up in front and started the yacht up and pulled out, mommy do you think we will see any dolphins in the water Grace said l don't know baby Lena replied. Francesca who was  looking straight ahead taking pictures on her digital camera, she got for her birthday a couple of months ago
I look over at Lena and wink my eye at her. She mouths l love you and nothing will ever change that
I knew Lena meant every word, we always had a spoken bond between us
When we always knew what the other was feeling. Sometimes we didn't need words to communicate
But here with our children was all that matters to me, to think l almost lost her help me realize how precious life is.
