Stef's: POV
After driving for two in a half hours
We finally arrived at the cabin. Something l feel Lena would appreciate more than our own house
This place always seems to help her to relax, she can get plenty of rest and heal. Stewart is driving up with the kids tomorrow, he wants to us to have some alone time. I help Lena get situated upstairs in the bedroom
While I go get our bags from the trunk
No court date has been scheduled,
I don't want Lena worrying about nothing. I'm trying to convince her to take out a class action suit against David Matthews, he needs to pay for what he's done to my wife. For that l will never forgive David for the pain he caused Lena, she didn't deserve to be injured. He has lost his rights to Francesca the day he abandoned her
Knowing the fact that Francesca has a brother who is sick and needs a bone marrow transplant, he has know interest in getting to know Francesca
Apparently he only wants her blood to save his son's life. That's the reason why he flew out here, l put two and two together there isn't any other explanation to it. When Lena refused to give him any information on Francesca it pushed David over the edge, l hope he serves some time in jail. I just feel bad for that poor boy
Since he's in prison his finccee is looking after his son, l'm sure there's someone who would be a suitable match. Margaret is his only living relative on his mother's side, he probably doesn't know anything about his biological mother, Francesca knows she has a younger sibling. She hasn't mention that she wants to see him, l think she's still processing this recent development
This whole thing can get messy but there's a lot of witnesses that can testify that David Matthews showed up to Lena's place of business several times demanding to speak with her
When we were out of town. That was his first mistake, but who's gonna speak in his defense. David was warned by Shannon not to come back
He ignored her rules and kept showing up, to me that's obsessive behavior in my book. No amount of money can get him out of this situation, he only has himself to blame. I carry our luggage inside the house and lock up the door, Lena may never wanna go back to that group home again after everything happened. Or she may decide to look for another building somewhere else
And start fresh, she's put in so much into her business to let go down the drain. I take the suitcases upstairs
When I enter the room and sees Lena asleep l cover her up with the blanket
I'll let her sleep for a bit until I have to wake her up for her medicine, l whisper in her ear telling Lena l love her and we'll get through this. Kiss Lena on the head and go back down the steps to make us some lunch,
