Francesca's: POV
It was early in the morning when I woke up to see the sun shining bright
I got up from my bed and went to bathroom to peed. After I finished
I washed my face and brushed my teeth, l headed to mommy's and Mama's room and I saw that their door closed so I went down stairs and saw the backdoor open. There l noticed mommy was sitting on the long swing, when mama told me mommy got hurt at the group home
I thought she was going to died like my birth mother did. I was so scared
Grammy sat me down and said mommy was gonna be alright l guess that's why I been avoiding mommy these past few days, my sister's spend time with her. I open up the screen door and make my presence known
Mommy looked up from her book, she patted the seat. I walked over to her and took a seat next to her, l'm sorry mommy for not hanging out with you
Francesca said. Mommy shook her head no, mommy writes something down on a piece of paper saying
Baby l know how hard it's been for you. I'm not mad at you baby please tell me what's on your mind she asks me, mommy l was so afraid of losing you. So l kept my distance from you
My emotions were all over the place
Francesca says to Lena, l looked at mommy and saw her eyes welled up
Don't cry mommy Francesca States
Who hurt you mommy tell me who did this to you Francesca asked
It doesn't matter sweetheart mommy Stated. Was that mean man Grammy was talking about who kept coming to the group home Francesca saw the sad look on mommy's face, mommy remember the first night at the group home I was having a rough night you came over and talked to me telling me everything was gonna be okay Grammy said that man will get what's coming to him one day and God is going to deal with him one day Francesca told her mommy. Mommy smiles at me and hugs me gently
I feel safe in her arms and l feel nothing can ever hurt me. I didn't realize l put my guard up from getting close to mommy, that wasn't the wrong thing for me to do. I don't want anything else destroying me and mommy's relationship, we sit and watch the sun rise. Now I'm able to relax some, all my fears are slowly drifting away. I see momma standing in the door way drinking her morning coffee, we usually do the word search together or we just go for a hike
