Pushing the cart down the market, she selected ingredients to prepare a meal for herself. It has been days that she had something at home cooked by herself rather than takeouts of impromptu dinner busts she had done at her friend's place.

It was time she restocked her refrigerator and start cooking at home.

Checking the vegetable section she touched and weighed her options, resting on some of each type and halting at the peas counter, glancing at potatoes lying in her bag. Her fingers halt remembering a certain meal, she gritted her teeth and closed her eyes to stop thinking back to the time she was not Vandita Nair but her.

Noor.

The name sounds distant to her.

Ignoring the thoughts she pushed forward, making her way into the crowdie aisle where she stocked other things, straying away from the non-veg section.

"Oh, can you help me pass dear?" A middle-aged woman stood against her cart with hers, the way blocked for both as the sides were full of other people choosing things.

"Sure" Vandita passed her a tight-lipped smile and pulled back.

She walked backward when she bumped into a figure.

"I am sorry." She muttered quickly and turned to look at the person, but found none. She rolled her eyes and walked humming a tune, her list was done so she strayed towards the checkout counter.

Scrolling her cell, she passed a quick smile to the cashier when the girl started dumping her purchase one by one.

Her eyes followed the article which was to be published in an hour.

"This is expired." The cashier's voice made her look up.

"Yes?" She looked up distracted.

"This meat is expired. May I get a new one for you?" She repeated.

"Meat?" She gasped and quickly checked her basket, there were 2 more packets that she doesn't remember placing. "It... It isn't mine."

"It is your cart." Cashier reminded her of deadpanning.
