Sigh...

Today has been the worst day I've ever had in all my 16 years of living.

After dropping the journal for the day on Tuesday evening, I decided to talk to Uncle Wu about coming to school to meet my homeroom teacher. He was about to leave to go to his boat where he was currently staying. It's a large boat, by the way. It was like a pirate ship but without the pirates.

"Lloyd?" Uncle Wu said as he saw me walk up to him. "You've finally come out of your room. Have you eaten?"

"Um..."

"Why haven't you eaten? I believe you're old enough to know not to starve yourself."

"I'll eat soon. I came to tell you about something." I never did eat, though.

"What is-"

"Don't forget we'll be out all day tomorrow, brother!" TDL called out, his face peeking out from his room. "Oh. Luh-Loyd. I haven't seen you since yesterday."

" . . ." When will he stop calling me that? That's not how the name is pronounced!

"Was I interrupting something?"

I nodded, waiting for him to stick his head back inside.

"Fine, I'm going. Kids these days."

I watched him put his head back inside and close the door.

"So, what is it, nephew?"

"Uh..." I was about to tell him, but then I remembered TDL said they would be out the next day.

"When will you be done tomorrow?"

"I should be done in the evening and perhaps return to the volcano late at night. Where my brother and I are going is a bit far. I'll be free next tomorrow."

"I see..." It was clear he wouldn't be able to meet the homeroom teacher. I decided to tell him about something else. Then I thought of a certain someone.

"Well?"

"I have this classmate, and he's an elemental, I think."

I could see my uncle's eyes telling me to go on.

"And he wanted to meet you to teach him to use his element. Or something along the lines of that."

"Do I know this classmate?"

"Yes..."

"Hmm," Uncle Wu stroked his long beard. I ended up staring at him as he did that and getting lost in it. His beard is very mesmerizing. "I'll think about it."

"Okay."

My uncle hurriedly left to prepare for the next day as he waved bye. I returned to my room and decided to sleep.

I was woken up the next day by TDL taking pictures of my sleeping face. As if it wasn't creepy enough, he was grinning at me.

"Morning, Luh-Loyd."

"You look disturbing. If I was younger, I would've screamed and thrown my shoes at you."

"That's rude, Luh-Loyd," TDL said with a fake pout, letting the camera hang from his neck. "It's time to wake up."

I sat straight on the bed, "Why are you waking me up so early?"

"Your uncle and I are about to head out. Get ready. We'll drop you off at school."

"Do I have to go to school? I don't want to do anything today." I was still sleepy, so I was blabbering even until I got to the shower.

I was fully awake after I took a shower and was met with Uncle Wu laying out a shirt on my bed.
