Kimiko's POV:

~ Shinjuku ~

"I'm sorry, but I can't go with you guys. I have people here who need me," Yuu responds with a hint of sorrow in his voice, his eyes reflecting a mixture of determination and longing.

"No, we're your only friends. Don't be fooled. The humans are using you! You have to see that!" Mika's voice resonates with urgency and concern, his eyes pleading for Yuu to understand.

I glance at Mika, sensing the turmoil in his heart, and gently place my hand on his shoulder, offering silent support within this emotional storm. "Mika, we can't force him. He has his own life now, new friends, a new family," I say, trying to inject a note of hope into the somber atmosphere.

"Kimiko, you know the truth. Why are you siding with him? You've been longing to see him," I see the confusion and pain in Mika's eyes as he struggles to comprehend my stance.

"Yes." I admit, a bittersweet smile tugging at my lips. "But I'm grateful just to see him alive after believing he was lost to us all these years. We can't destroy his life for our happiness," I add, my voice soft yet resolute.

A sudden, piercing scream shatters the fragile peace around us, drawing our attention to the ongoing battle. We turn, our hearts racing with concern and fear, wondering whose cry echoed through the chaotic streets of Shinjuku.

"That's Shinoa, I have to go back!" Yuu's voice breaks through the tension, a sense of duty driving him back into the fray to protect his human comrades.

"No, Yuu, please don't go back! There's nothing there!" Mika's desperate plea falls on deaf ears as Yuu rushes away, leaving us behind in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.

"You're wrong, Mika! We can't do that to on him; he has his own life." I interject, frustration mingling with understanding in my voice. Mika's unwavering loyalty is admirable, but he must come to terms with the changes that time has made on all of us.

As we return to the battlefield, the air thick with tension and the scent of blood, I observe Yuu's eyes, haunted by memories of loss and betrayal. He freezes momentarily. One of his human friends trapped in a chokehold by a vampire and the memories of our family's deaths wash across his face.

He freezes in terror of losing his family again. "No..." He whispers. He feels helpless again.

"Release the humans! Let them go, now!" My command cuts through the chaos, demanding the vampires' attention as I assert my authority.

"Well, why should would we do that, Princess?" Ferid's mocking tone sends a chill down my spine, his grip on one of the humans tightening in defiance.

Frustration bubbles within me, but I maintain my composure, unwilling to escalate the situation further. "Their lives are not yours to toy with," I assert, locking eyes with Ferid, a silent challenge passing between us.

The human's Colonel ears perk up at Ferids use of my title. Fucking asshole. "Their princess is here?" The human whispers.

A sudden shift in the atmosphere draws my gaze back to Yuu, whose transformation unfolds before our eyes. Something in Yuu has changed. The ground trembles beneath his feet, and his once-familiar eyes now bear a dark, ominous hue, a testament to the inner turmoil consuming him.  I look into Yuu and his eyes they're different. One of them is completely black.

"As I suspected, the humans are manipulating him," Mika's voice carries a mix of anger and sorrow as he watches Yuu's descent into darkness, his fists clenched in frustration. Yuu walks slowly towards as though he's possessed. "Well, it seems something unpleasant has come out?" Lucas says dropping his human.
