Salish sat in the doctor's office, her heart heavy with grief and her mind clouded with confusion. She had just received the devastating news that she had experienced her second miscarriage. The pain of losing a baby for the second time was almost unbearable, and she couldn't help but wonder why this was happening to her.
Her first miscarriage had been a shock, but she and her husband, nidal , had managed to find solace in the fact that sometimes these things just happen. They had been hopeful when they found out they were expecting again, but now, that hope seemed shattered.
