It all began innocently enough, with Salish telling a small white lie to her husband. She had promised to attend a social gathering with him, but as the day approached, she found herself overwhelmed by anxiety and a deep sense of self-doubt. Instead of confronting these emotions head-on, Salish decided to fabricate an excuse, claiming that she had fallen ill and would be unable to attend the event.  The weight of her secret became unbearable, and she found solace in the only way she knew how.
