Prompt: "We're getting outsmarted by a dog!"

"Wait no!" You and Mick shout almost simultaneously when Angie again tries to leap out of the bath tub filled with water. Mick goes to grab the bouncy dog but Angie only moves away from him.
Finally, after five minutes of trying to catch her in the bathroom, Mick scoops up the muddy dog and again plops her in the tub.
"Okay you hold her and..." you start to give directions but the little animal in between you both starts to whimper.
You and Mick hold eye contact with matching frowns, "don't look, she's trying to get us to let her go" you point towards Mick and he nods.
"How do we clean her if we can't look at her?" Mick says and makes the mistake of looking towards the dog.
"Awe look y/n, she looks so sad!" Mick says and leans over to press kisses the the dogs head and give pets behind her ears.
"No no, one of us has to stay strong" you say and try not to look where you know the saddest puppy eyes ever will be.
"But look Y/n" Mick says and holds Angie's face towards yours. After a few seconds you cave and look at the puppy eyes that beg you to let her stay dirty.
"Aweee- wait no! Mick!" You sa too and turn towards the blonde who's messing with the dog still.
"What?" He ask, distracted from cleaning the very messy Angie.
"We're getting outsmarted by a dog!" You huff and turn towards Angie, a pointed finger swinging in her direction.
"A cute dog"
"Mick"
The dog just smiles as you sternly say, "we need to clean you end of story"
So you and Mick turn towards each other, ready for the impossible fast at hand. You lean over to press a short kiss to his check before saying, "we both need to stay strong"
He nods his head curtly despite the smile forming on his face.
And so, you both start to clean the mud off the dog. Of course, Angie tries to escape her parents multiple times- she flings mud and water all over the bathroom walls as well as you and Mick.
"How is she so wiggly" You complain when she escapes you both again, only to be caught and placed back in the tub.
By the time it's all said and done, you and Mick are laying on the dirty bathroom floor while a clean Angie moves around the bathroom. You and Mick are both covered in speck and splotches of mud and water.
"Is this what it's like having kids?" Mick finally voices and sits up to look over at you. You've closed your eyes as you let yourself finally rest from the very hard activity of cleaning a hyperactive dog.
"God I hope not" you complain and Mick chuckles before getting up to off you his hands. You use his help to stand up, only to almost double over in laughter at the sight in the mirror. You point to your and Mick's reflection as said blonde turns, and just like you he starts to laugh at the sight.
Staring back at you is two very dirty versions of yourself. You wrap an arm around Mick's waist and he wraps an arm around your shoulder, "we look horrendous" you say with a sigh.
"Just a little bit" Mick says and turns to you with a wide smile.
"I think we're the ones that need a bath now" he finally sighs and you nod along.
"Maybe this one will be easier" you joke and Mick laughs before holding up his crossed fingers.
"Let's find out"
