Prologue

The night that changed it all..

Mihir gulped his tears back..he couldn't believe that his father had done this to them..

Meera stumbled as she heard the truth..

Madhav was too young to understand the meaning of his words..

Sambhav stared at his family in anger and disdain..

He shook Meera and said:"You knew I was being forced into this marriage..ab main tumhe chod Raha hun, kyonki mujhe mera pyaar mil gya..to tum kyon mujhe azaad nahi kar sakti.."
Meera:"Forced ho na ho, doesn't matter Sambhav ji..aapne shaadi ki, maine to force nahi Kiya tha..aapke papa ki galti ki saza main aur mere bacche nahi bhugtenge..aap Hume chodke nahi Jaa sakte.."
Sambhav:"Yahan rehke main kabhi khush nahi reh paunga..I love Shalini yaar.. understand..main tumhe alimony bhi de dunga..kyon pareshaan kar rahi ho mujhe.."

Meera's eyes teared up, she shouted angrily:"Main kar rahi hun pareshaan ya aap, aapne dhokha diya, you were a coward.."
Sambhav roared angrily:"MEERA"
He raised his hand to hit her, but a 14 year old Mihir pushed him back..

Mihir shouted on his father:"Mumma pe haath mat uthao dad, she's right.. you cheated us..I loved you Dad, I thought you would change and be a bit more considerate for us..but you don't deserve to be loved....you're a cheater..you are bad Dad..I hate you..I.."
Sambhav cut him off with a slap..

Sambhav pushed Meera who tried to come to them..

Sambhav raised Mihir and slapped him again:"Ye seekhaya hai is Meera ne tujhe..I was never interested in this marriage..samjha tu..vo to Shalini wants to show the world her generosity..so I'll be taking you with me..even the court won't stop me.."

7 year old Madhav cried, hugging his Dada by his legs..for him his brother was the only father he knew..Sambhav had always been busy with his business and his love, Shalini..

Mihir pushed Sambhav again and hugged Madhav..

Mihir:"Kanha baccha, mumma ke saath reh..ja..main bas aaya.."

Madhav:"Papa ne kyon maara aapko.."

Mihir shut his eyes to hide the tears..
He told:"Galti ho gyi mujhse, isliye.."

He took Madhav to his mom, and then turned to Sambhav:"Aap mujhe meri mumma aur Kanha se alag nahi kar sakte..main aapke saath nahi aaunga..you want to go na..just go away..main meri family ko chodke nahi aaunga.."
Sambhav(shouting):"Tujhe puch nahi Raha tha main..bata Raha tha.."

Mihir (calm but threatening):"Main bhi aapko bata raha hun, you can't take me away from my family... I'll never come with you.."

Mihir took his mother's hand and left with Madhav and Meera...

Sambhav fumed and shouted:"Yaad hai na, ye Ghar Mera hai, tumhara nahi Meera, you need to leave.. alimony mil jayegi tumhe..get lost."
He locked the door loudly..

Mihir looked at Meera confused..
Meera nodded:"Beta ye Ghar humara nahi... Rajput ka hai..agar divorce hua, to hume kahin aur rehna padega.."
Mihir nodded and said:"Ye Ghar vaise bhi us insaan ka hai, jisne bas haath uthaya hai aape, and humse kabhi pyaar se baat nahi Kari..jab unhe humse lagaav hi nahi, to hum yahan rehke kya karenge.."
Meera cupped his face:"Tujhe nahi pata beta, you know humare gaon mein kaisi pratha thi, ladki ko mat padhao..ma baap ne mujhe kabhi padhne nahi diya..Sambhav ji bhi conservative the..har tarah se paison ke liye hum Sambhav ji par dependent hai.. bol kahan jayenge hum.."

Mihir looked up with teary eyes:"Nanu nani ke ghar.."

Meera shook her head in tears:"Ek hafte pehle Maine unse kaha ki Sambhav ji ka behaviour ajeeb hai..humse dur ho gye hai..maine unse kaha ki Mera man karta hai ki main is ek tarfi rishte to khatam kar dun..to unhone kya kaha pata hai.." she paused to take a deep breath..
"Papa ne kaha ki agar maine Sambhav ji ko choda, ya kisi bhi vajah se meri ye shaadi Tut gyi, to vo mujhe kabhi nahi apnayenge..kabhi Ghar nahi layenge.."

Mihir looked at her shocked:"But main aur Madhav bhi to hai aapke saath..fir bhi vo hume raaste pe chod denge?"

Meera nodded crying...

Mihir hugged her tightly..

Madhav looked at them with sad eyes..

Mihir saw him and took him in his own arms..
Madhav smiled and wrapped his arms around his Dada's neck..

Mihir hugged his only loved ones and started thinking about the future..

A year later..

Meera slapped her son and asked angrily with tears:"Tu to keh raha tha Mihir, tu kabhi hume chodke nahi jayega..to ab kya hua..kyon jaana chahta hai, apne papa ke paas..kyon.."

Sambhav dragged Mihir away from Meera:"Uski akal thikane aa gyi, tumhari nahi aai abhi tak..isliye..use force mat karo.."
Meera:"Force to aap kar rahe hai, mere bacche ko..bol Mihir, bol ki tu nahi jaana chahta.."
Mihir:"Jaana chahta hun, isliye to bulaya papa ko..aap raho is chote se Ghar mein, main to humesha se businessman banna chahta tha..aisi luxurious life ka sapna dekha tha Maine..Aaj jab mujhe vo mil rahi hai, to aap kyon rok rahe ho mujhe.."
Meera tried to say, but Sambhav stopped her by handing a document..

It read that Sambhav could file a case in court for custody of her children...and she knew due to her financial conditions, she would lose their custody..she looked at Mihir, who looked away..

She let go of his hand, and walked away with a crying Madhav..

Madhav jerked her hand and hugged Mihir tightly...
Madhu:"Mat jao Dada, main aapke bina nahi reh sakta..aap kyon jaa rahe ho..pls Dada..chalo na..main koi zid nahi karunga.. aapki har baat manunga, bas mujhe chodke mat jao Dada..pls.."
Sambhav scolded:"Hat ja, jaane de use.."
Mihir sternly:"Dad pls, Madhav ko kuch nahi .."

Mihir gently freed himself and walked away..Madhav tried to run behind, but his mother took him away..

Sambhav followed Mihir with a smirk..

Thus Mihir and Madhav, brothers who couldn't live without each other, got separated in just one day..
