Chapter_forty six

The call that Gabriella received in the early afternoon now prompted her to enter the private car parked at the ministry building.  After slipping behind the wheel, his eyes glanced at the clock which showed 5.00 PM.  Not long after, the car rolled out of the lower parking floor. Drove on the road towards the area where Huang Jingyu's Aigrette Resort was located.

The two young masters who were waiting for her were already sitting quietly in the cafe, occupying a table in the corner of the room. After almost an hour's journey, Gabriella now stepped towards the two young men who turned towards her.  Ignoring Wang Yibo's presence, the girl approached Huang Jingyu and planted a short kiss on the young man's cheek.

Wang Yibo just tugged at the corners of his lips watching the behavior of the two.

Huang Jingyu smiled and held Gabriella's finger, pulling her to sit aside.

"You're not busy?" he asked seeing the girl still dressed so formally.

“Actually, I have a meeting with other officials, but it's not that important. Yibo already contacted me," Gabriel took the seat next to Huang Jingyu. "If I'm not wrong, there's something important you want to talk to me about. Right?" she glanced at Yibo.

"You're right." The handsome young man nodded, looking for a moment at the waiter who approached after being called.

Gabriel looked at the two of them in turn.

“I see you guys are a little serious. What happened?"

For a moment the two young men exchanged glances, until Wang Yibo decided to represent him because after all his party wanted support. Even though it might have to break up the friendship between the two middle-aged men who are their parents.

"Your lover is under arrest?" Gabriella almost couldn't believe Wang Yibo's explanation. "Why did uncle do something like that?" her eyebrow furrowed deeply.

“I really have no other way. Perhaps Autumn Gate's decline was inevitable at this time. "I had to disband several elders who had been following my father's leadership," Yibo ended his story.

“Are you serious about your actions? After all it is your adoptive father,” the girl tried to find reassurance.

"I know. I will also atone for my own actions. But I can't let anyone touch and hurt Sean. For him, eliminating a figure who in his eyes was worthless would be very easy for him to do. I can't take Sean as a bet.  Moreover, an increasing position of power will not bring anything good. The important thing is that I have set up a business legally and with my own money. Maybe I'll let go of my business from Autumn Gate. I will hand over ownership of the business under Autumn Gate to Vardy."

Gabriella looked at Huang Jingyu as if asking for approval. He took a deep breath seeing the young man's nod. His eyes fell on Yibo again.

“Regarding Vardy, don't worry. My lawyer will take care of it, especially once the record is clean. I just need to ask my father for his autograph. For Uncle Han's affairs, I will not interfere. Maybe even my father wouldn't interfere too much if something big happened. Moreover, Commissioner Huang just met my father. Maybe, your path will be smooth without having to act too hard. But ... should you sacrifice yourself? Have you thought about how Sean feels?”
