A ring of the doorbell swiftly awoke Leah from her catnap on the sofa. Somehow, despite falling asleep separately, she had awoken with her baby sister curled into her side, her own arms wrapped around her, holding the small ball of warmth into her side. She couldn't help but notice the small beads of sweat beginning to form at the corners of her forehead, sighing as she noted to herself that she needed to administer her some more medicine when she woke up.

Moving herself carefully, so that Jessica could remain asleep, Leah stood up from the sofa, stretching out her arms as she shuffled her feet over to open the door, the house slightly darker than when it was when they fell asleep.

She was greeted to the Swiss midfielder stood on her doorstep, dressed casually in a pair of jeans and a baggy tshirt, a flannel wrapped around her waist with her hair pulled into a bun. Leah couldn't help but notice just how gorgeous she looked, despite not being dressed overly fancy. It took her a moment to realise how poor she must've looked in comparison, her hair all over the place having not had any time to wash it, and her clothes as casual as they'd come, as well as not being able to put any make up on.

"Lia, hi, I'm so sorry I look like a mess, and the house is a mess, it's just been a chaotic morning and-"

"Le, take a breath, it's okay. It's nice to see you."

"It's nice to see you to."

They smiled warmly at each other as Leah stood to the side, biting her lip ever so slightly as she welcomed Lia into the house. In her own mind, it was a disgrace, and the living room especially was as messy as it could get. The defender wasn't exactly the cleanest of people, but even she would say that it wasn't looking good. She followed after Lia, who had gone into the living room, taking one look at the young girl who was laid across the sofa, ignoring the chaotic mess strewn about, her heart melting ever so slightly as she turned to face Leah.

"Oh poor munchkin, she really doesn't look good does she."

Leah could only give a sad smile in response, shaking her head ever so slightly as she turned her own attention to face her younger sister, running her hand ever so slightly through the young girls locks.

"You look tired yourself Leah, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, just haven't had much time to myself. It turn's out a sick, neurodivergent kid is a lot to take care of."

"Go take some time Leah, take a run, have a shower. Do what you need to do"

"Thanks Wally, but I can't ask that of you-"

"You're not asking Leah, I'm offering. Take some time, I've got Jessica. We'll still be here when you get back. You need to care for yourself as well."

Leah took a few moments to weigh up her options, changing her attention from Lia to her younger sister. She'd be lying if she said it didn't worry her, leaving her younger sister whilst she was unwell, even if she was only going for a run. The young girl appreciated her older sister being around, and she didn't want to think what would happen if Jessica was to wake up and Leah wasn't beside her. On the other hand, Lia knew what to do with the young girl, and despite their relationship being slightly rocky in recent times, the Swiss midfielder knew her well enough to understand how to meet her needs. That, and Leah was desperate to go for a run.

She sighed as she gave in, nodding her head slightly to Lia as went upstairs to get changed into her running gear, leaving Lia downstairs with Jess.

"Oh munchkin, what are we going to do with you, hey."

"Text me if she wakes."

"I will."

"Call me if she's sick."
