jack hired a photographer for a mini session on the beach for us.

unfortunately the weather didn't hold out so its a little chilly.

but i dont mind since jack & i wanted a relaxed and laid back photoshoot.

just a few pictures, nothing big.

we met the photographer on the private beach, just down from our beach house we rent.

jack & i are in sweats.

after explaining what we want she just snapped pictures as we talked and did out thing.

30 minutes later our session was over and i feel confident we got pictures that showcase us.

we said goodbye to her and then ate dinner on the beach.

"im proud of you." jack said.

i stopped admiring the heavenly sandwich in my hand and looked up at him.

"why?"

"because your bodies changing and youre taking the change well." he said.

my eyes got watery.

"im sure its hard at times, but your growing a human liv. thats our baby and its beautiful to see your body change & adapt & grow."

"youre so sweet. i love you."

he wiped my cheek with his thumb.

"16 weeks and youre body looks so good baby." he complemented.

"can you believe that in 24 weeks or less we will be parents?" i asked.

"i know, time flys when your living it with your best friend."

i smiled.

"and you dont want to know the gender?" i asked.

he shook his head, "i dont, you can find out but i dont."

"i can wait to know."

"just one question." jack said.

"yeah?" i asked.

"how do we decorate a nursery for both genders?"

i smiled, "we can look on pinterest tonight, eh?"

he nodded.

"what room are we decorating?"
i asked.

"the one closest to us. the baby will sleep in our room for a little, we'll get 2 cribs but i want the nursery decorated too."

"what about on nights when you have games the next day? do you want me to sleep in the nursery?"

he made a face, "why?"

"that way the baby doesn't keep you up. you have to sleep."

"baby so do you."

"but your sleep will be a lot more important-"

"no it wont." he cut me off.

i huffed.

"huff & puff all you want baby, this is 50/50. not 25/75. 50/50."

i stared at him.

he'll need his sleep while he's playing home games. not just at night but hes a big napper.

"understand?"

"mm?" i hummed.

"do you understand?"

i shrugged.

"oh my god woman," he chuckled. "50/50."

"okay." i nodded.
