////TL: TW i mentioned a while ago: starting this chapter, the frequency of old Yeonseo's trauma that I mentioned in the starting chapters of seeing a ghost with the white flowing dress starts to become more frequent. and it starts talking abt the suicide more im pretty sure. Please read with caution.////

(Aargh!)

The eyes of Sergeant Kim Woo-jin, who had been pierced through the stomach in a battle with a monster, snapped open. He breathed heavily, surveying his surroundings.

Why am I still alive? Sergeant Kim Woo-jin felt around his stomach. The place where he had been stabbed was completely healed. Was it a dream? No, there was no way that vivid sensation could have been a dream.

(What is this...?)

Kim Woo-jin, cautiously examining his body just in case, chuckled. The red spots spreading from his chest were evidence of infection by the virus.

(Haha!)

He couldn't help but laugh, feeling ridiculous and angry at having come back to life just like that. Tears welled up in his eyes, and his expression looked crestfallen and miserable. After hesitating for a while, he pulled himself together. He grabbed his gun and moved swiftly.

(Sergeant... about that...)

Joining Sergeant Park Ji-won and Corporal Lee Hyun-jun, Kim Woo-jin laughed as he saw the two men being cautious around him.

(Don't worry. I'll handle it.)

Tension rose as the movie progressed, with unidentified monsters from the outside and the ever-changing Kim Woo-jin nearby.

(Sergeant Kim, shouldn't we separate him?)

(What if he suddenly changes?)

Other soldiers following them didn't let their guard down around Kim Woo-jin.

(Stay still. I'll take care of it.)

Only Corporal Lee Hyun-jun, who was from the same SSU unit, defended him.

(Go first.)

As Kim Woo-jin gradually turned into a monster and unleashed powers beyond human, he supported Park Ji-won and Lee Hyun-jun, fighting bravely until the end.

(Go! Quickly!)

Lee Hyun-jun also sent Park Ji-won ahead and collapsed after the battle with the monster.

Finally, Park Ji-won managed to enter the communication room and locked the door. He was the only survivor. After hesitating for a moment, he tried to communicate.

Then, the screen briefly went blank, and the door to the communication room suddenly opened.

(Aargh...!)

Relieved, Park Ji-won quickly aimed his gun as he had been on edge with his eyes closed for a moment.

"I'm here!"

Upon seeing the reinforcements, Park Ji-won lowered his gun with a sigh of relief. He looked dazedly at Lee Hyun-jun, who lay bleeding on the ground, and Kim Woo-jin, whose body was pierced by grotesque tentacles.

Park Ji-won watched as the rescue ship sailed away from the sinking ship. The screen zoomed in on his empty eyes, marking the end of the movie.

As the grand OST and ending credits rolled, the lights in the theater came on. The audience remained seated, awaiting the stage greeting.

"Wow... the movie was good."

"The action was really intense, wasn't it?"

The story was somewhat predictable, reminiscent of zombies, with unidentified monsters attacking the battleship and infected soldiers. However, it turned out to be a well-made action movie thanks to the performances of Yoo Yeon-seo and the action director, along with decent editing.
