While Yoo Yeon-seo synchronized his memories and recovered his broken body, episode 16 of "Dreaming" aired.Park Si-hwan realized that his mother in "Utopia" was frequently found in specific places. Kindergartens, playgrounds, schools... all places where a child might be. And she would secretly shed tears every time she found Si-hwan there.
"You want to access Utopia? Without permission?"
"Yes."
"Si-hwan, even if Utopia shares the same server, without permission..."
"Is it possible to reconstruct Im In-sung's ideal world?"
Yang Ju-hee bit her lower lip.
"That... it's possible. Because the data still exists."
Si-hwan lay down and attached the Utopia access device to his body. Yang Ju-hee anxiously grabbed his hand.
"But entering a finished world could be dangerous. You might end up adrift..."
"Please."
With a gaze filled with intense longing, Yang Ju-hee sighed softly and gestured to the staff. The staff assisted Si-hwan in accessing Utopia.
"You're aware of the recent bugs?"
"Yes."
"Be careful."
Having accessed Utopia, Si-hwan mainly searched for Kim Yoon-hwa where children would gather.
"Mom!"
And after wandering a few times, he could find his mother.
In reality, Yang Ju-hee urgently tapped on the keyboard. Si-hwan's remaining time limit in Utopia was running out.
(Si-hwan, something's wrong with the program. We're running out of time.)
"I understand."
Kim Yoon-hwa knelt in front of young Si-hwan, brushing his hair aside. Grown-up Si-hwan stood behind Kim Yoon-hwa and spoke softly.
"Mom, let's go."
"Si-hwan..."
Si-hwan grabbed Kim Yoon-hwa's shoulders and turned her around. But Kim Yoon-hwa's gaze was still fixed on young Si-hwan.
Si-hwan shook Kim Yoon-hwa slightly. His eyes reddened. He seemed like he was about to burst into tears.
"Mom, it's not me."
"Our son."
"Mom!"
Kim Yoon-hwa's shoulders trembled. Young Si-hwan, as if frozen in time, stood still.
"H-How..."
Avoiding her son's gaze, Kim Yoon-hwa couldn't face her grown-up son.
She had abandoned Park Corporation as if passing on a burden. She thought longing for it was a luxury. So she escaped to Utopia, spending her son's childhood which she couldn't do in reality.
Then she realized that reality's Si-hwan was searching for her. Just watching from a distance was enough. Returning to reality meant facing her aging self, and her son who would have to take care of her.
"I don't resent you, Mom. I don't think I was abandoned."
"..."
"So let's go back and be real mother and son. Huh? Not this fake, but real. Be my real mom. Please?"
Tears welled up in Si-hwan's eyes as he pleaded. His trembling voice conveyed desperation.
"Let's live together for real now..."
