In the quiet of the room, Hamza found himself lost in thought, his mind drifting through the events of the day and the subtle dynamics between him and Maya.

He glanced over at her sleeping form, her gentle breathing a soothing rhythm in the dim light. Despite the initial awkwardness, he felt a sense of peace wash over him. There was something comforting about having her there, sharing the space with him, even if they were still in a platonic relationship.

As he closed his eyes, he couldn't help but replay their conversation in his mind, savouring the depth and the way Maya's cheeks had flushed with embarrassment. It was moments like these that made him appreciate her presence even more, the way she brought warmth and light into his life, even in the simplest of moments.

With a contented sigh, he let himself relax into the embrace of sleep, knowing that he would make sure that these distances between them were bridged based on love and not obligation. He was happy for the chance to share these moments with Maya.

The soft rays of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, gently illuminating the room as Maya stirred awake. Blinking sleepily, she slowly became aware of her surroundings, the memories of the previous night gradually returning to her.

As she shifted, she felt a warmth beside her and glanced down to find Hamza's hand gently clasping hers. A rush of warmth flooded her chest as she looked at him, his features softened in sleep, a faint smile playing on his lips.

For a moment, Maya simply watched him, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. She marvelled at how natural it felt to wake up beside him, the closeness between them comforting and familiar.

Careful not to disturb him, she gently disentangled her hand from his and sat up, stretching her limbs as she glanced around the room. The events of the previous night replayed in her mind, and she couldn't help but smile at the memory of her discomfort before she drifted off to sleep.

With a soft sigh, Maya reached for her phone, checking the time before silently slipping out of bed. She tiptoed across the room, trying not to disturb Hamza as she made her way to the balcony, craving a moment of solitude to collect her thoughts.

As she stepped outside, the cool morning breeze brushed against her skin, and Maya closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she let the tranquillity of the moment wash over her. Despite the uncertainties of what the future held, she couldn't shake the feeling of warmth and happiness that filled her heart, knowing that no one could take these memories away from her.

Lost in her thoughts, Maya didn't notice when Hamza stirred awake, his gaze lingering on her retreating figure with a fond smile.

Maya stood and heard a soft shuffle behind her. Turning, she saw Hamza emerging from the room, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. A warm smile spread across his face as he caught sight of her.

"Good morning," he greeted, his voice husky with sleep.

"Good morning," Maya replied, returning his smile.

Hamza nodded, joining her at the balcony railing. "Tum theek ho?"

Maya smiled softly. "Theek hoon,"

They stood together in companionable silence for a moment, the gentle sounds of the morning mingling with the rustle of the palm trees swaying in the breeze.

Hamza asked with a warm smile, "Hungry?"

"Starving," she admitted sheepishly.

"Me too," Hamza said. "We should probably head down for breakfast."
