The Hauntings of My Mind

Just Tired

I want to just go to sleep
To close my eyes
And drift off into the darkness
Silence echoing in my own ears
Night so still
Take away my fears
Pillow so soft
Will you catch my tears
My arms scream
Hatred pouring from their many mouths
My head aches
Why aren't I sleeping
I'm tired enough
And just so numb
Some pills should do the trick
Oh so pretty
Pink and yellow
Red some white
Little blue ones made of jell
Can't remember which ones are for sleeping
Might as well take them all
Grab a tall glass
Go to the sink
Better yet I'll have a real drink
Sneak to the fridge
Steal some of dad's whiskey
Done it before bet he won't even notice
Toss em back quick
To think just drink
It tastes like fire
Mhmmm so good
I crawl back in bed
Searching for my little friend
I find him in the folds
I almost drop him
He's still wet from earlier
But I get a grip
He feels so good
Digging deep into me
My arms are back to screaming
Though they're not the only ones
My thighs join them
My body cries
Though not only from my eyes
Oh so tired
Flop down on my side
Why isn't it working
I just want to sleep
The screams get louder
Mhm so deep
Digging in
Watching it seep
Down with my tears into the sheets
Give me the will
To watch the sun one last time
I can't raise my head
So instead i just use my eyes
The sum peeps in
Shinning across my letters of goodbye Hope they can read them
My hands just wouldn't stop shaking
But I'm ok now
Lost feeling a long time ago
Can't move
Its so close now
I can feel it
It makes me smile

Sorry but it's been going on for a while
There's just some things that cant be fixed
The sun was rising but it's gone now
All dark and black
I close my eyes
Sleep taking me quickly
Finally i am free
