Gavin POV

"Come in." Ryan said yanking me away from the door. Immediately he turned and locked it, the lock making a clicking noise.

I stood awkwardly watching him do so and then turned toward the crowd of guys that are my best friends.

"It's been a while." I mumbled.

All of the guys now sitting, and Michael propped up on the bed, I sat too in a small chair.

"Why."

"Why what?"

"Why did you leave. You didn't have to leave. Once you left everything-"

I put my hand up. "I left for a reason. I had to leave. I was just a bottle of emotions." I paused about to say I knew what happened but then remembered my story.

"I left to just get out and then I was shot down by someone." I turned to show the wound on my side that was supposedly 'healed'.

Geoff turned his head toward Michael who hasn't said a word since I got into the room. Jack's eyes followed Geoff's and mine did the same.

Michael's crossed arms intended he was unamused. And he looked like he was half asleep.

"Michael was wounded too." Ray said. "Now you guys are twins. At least in the wound type of way. I mean... Let me stop."

I turned toward Michael, avoiding eye contact but admiring his wounds. "I'm sorry I left."

"Its okay." Ray said although he was looking at the floor with his dull blind eyes.

"Yeah it's okay Gavin." Ryan continued.

"The good thing is you are safe and healed."

I nodded. "But Michael isn't."

I don't understand. Why isn't he completely healed yet? It's been weeks. He should be fine by now. But then again... It did look like he took a lot.

"He's been like this for a while now." Jack said tapping on the wood by the windowsill.

"Geoff was badly injured in the car accident and he healed quickly. Quicker than this." I said. "And Geoff was injured badly."

Michael still not talking, opened his mouth as if going to talk. He paused and then sighed. "Gavin it's okay. You know, it's okay that you left. But we're a team and a family. You can't just leave without telling anyone."

Family.

"We left everything to go along with you, so we look up to you. And if you just run away, what is there left for us?"

I nodded slowly and looked at the floor.

"I apologize."

"But I am glad you are safe. We were all worried." Michael said wincing in pain a bit.

"Michael was mostly the one freaking out." Ray said in a friendly way.

Michael slightly smiled, not fully but more like a smirk and then chuckled a bit, only to sink farther into the bed soon afterwards.

After many moments of warm welcomes and hugs I was able to find out that most of the community was killed including all of the children and families.

"And now we haven't seen anyone coming after us for a while." Ryan concluded sitting down on a small bedside table.

"It's probably because we are too OP." Ray said blindly sticking up his arms with small muscles on them.

"But nonetheless we have been sticking to different shelters each night and this place seemed as if no one would come looking for us."
