Scott Hoying is a senior in high school and undoubtedly a jerk; a big one in fact. His parents are quite well known, and that is part of the reason why Scott is the way he is; popular and big headed. Mitch Grassi, on the other hand is quite the opposite. He is a junior, one year younger than Scott and is quiet and creative. He likes to keep to himself and never causes trouble.
Scott couldn't care less about anyone but himself, but when the two clash and a secret about each of the young men is revealed, their worlds are turned upside down.
