It was early in the evening and you're lying on the sofa, your head on your boyfriend's, Jeonghan, lap. He was playing with your hair idly, smiling fondly at you while you read a book, one you've read a million times.

You were both on holiday in a beautiful sunny place near the beach. It had been your birthday present and he wanted some time away from practice for a while. You loved being with him, but all your both had been doing recently was lazing around in the sun.

You sigh loudly and put the book down. You stare up at Jeonghan and pout.

"I'm bored." You say.

He mimicks you, pouting and sighing loudly.

"Awh, poor Y/N. Will she ever be entertained?" He asks sarcastically. You push his head back and he laughs. You crack a smile at his adorable expression.

"Seriously, can we go out or something? We could go out to dinner or take a walk through the streets. Everyone else does when they're abroad."

"Yeah well, we're not 'everyone'. Pillow fights and pizza is fun too, What's wrong with movie night?"

"Nothing! I'd just like to have a formal date for once. This place is beautiful and I just want a change of view."

He tucks his long hair behind his ear and threads his fingers through your hair. He leans over you, his face very close to yours. He kisses your lips gently, barely touching them to yours, to tease you a little.

"What's wrong with this view?" He asks, softly.

He moves his hand under your head and lifts it up, making your lips meet his again. He kisses you softly, his lips moving gently against yours. You sit up properly and sit on his lap, not breaking contact. He pulls away and raises his eyebrows questioningly.

"There is nothing wrong with my view right now." You say firmly and he laughs again. "But still... Please?"

He sighs loudly, and you give him your best puppy eyes look.

"Okay, okay. Let me changed and we'll go."

You hug him excitedly and get off his lap to get ready yourself. After a while you were both in smart clothes, you in a casual dress and him in a shirt. He stands in front the mirror and you sit on your bed, watching him tie his hair back.

"Why do you tie it back? I love your hair loose." You ask. He smiles at you through the mirror.

"People stare if I don't and it gets annoying. It's just easier to blend in this way." He says.

He spins around and grins at you. He walks over and pulls you off the bed, holding you to him.

"Now let's go. I'm actually excited for this."

"I hear the sunset here is beautiful." You gush, grabbing his hand and pulling him to the door.

You both walk out of the hotel and into the bright evening. The sky was a perfect orange colour with pinks and purples mixed. You breathed in the fresh air.

"Let's go into town." You say excitedly. You had seen a few shops in your way to to the hotel when you first arrived.

"I have a better idea..." Jeonghan replies and he looks toward the beach.

"Are you sure I have to? I might get my dress wet." You say cautiously.

He comes up to you and places his hands on your hips, pulling you to him. His hand travels up until it cups your face.

"Don't worry about it. It'll be fine." He whispers. He leans in and gives you a long kiss. He pulls away, much to soon for your taste, and grabs your hand. "C'mon, let's go!"

"Oh, alright. But not too long, I still want to go out for dinner." You say and he smiles reassuringly. There's something about that smile... I don't trust it, you think to yourself, but you let him drag you long anyway.

You find the entrance to the beach amd walk along it. You took off your heels for the walk and you feel the sand between your toes. He does the same and he runs along the sand. You stay walking, watching him run.

"C'mon Y/N, run with me. You know you want to." He shouts to you.

You resist for a few minutes but then run after him anyway. He stands near the waters edge, dipping his feet in the water.

"I'm not going anywhere near there. I don't want my dress to be ruined." You mumble.

He rolls his eyes and crouches down. He draws pictures in the sand for a minute and the pauses. You watch him curiously.

Suddenly there was water flying at you. You hear Jeonghan laughing as he flicks water onto your face and body. You try to protect your face but you were already pretty soaked.

"Ah! Stop!" You cry out and he does, still laughing.

When he doesn't hear you laughing he walks over and tries to put his arms around you but you push him off, still irritated.

"Awh, c'mon Y/N. It was just a joke. You need to lighten up."

He wipes a drop of water from your cheek and you roll your eyes at him. You walk away from him and start walking along the waters edge alone. You hear him call after you.

"Y/N? Look, I'm sorry! Ah, slow down."

You hear him running after you and you smile to yourself. You know exactly how to get him back.

You walk a little into the shallows and let the water wash over your feed and up mid leg. He comes up behind you and touches your shoulder.

"Y/N I-"

You cut him off by leaning over and getting a cupful of water, splashing it all over him. You laugh hysterically and he stands there, reacting to the sudden cold. He looks at you, looking mildly impressed.

"Oh, it's on."

Next thing you know, you were both waist length in the water, splashing each other. You pull out his hair tie at one point and his long hair flies around his face. His shirt stuck to his chest, practically see through.

Eventually you stand there in the water, Jeonghan holding your wrists. You laugh as you try to pull away. He had gotten the last splash and you wanted to get him back.

"Come on, this isn't over!" You say.

"Look." He says, looking toward the horizon.

You turn your head to see the semi-circle of the sun, descending from the sky.

"See? Told you the view was beautiful." You say.

"Yeah, I guess. But mine's better." He says quietly and you look back at him. He was looking right at you, his silver hair lit up by the light.

"Smooth yet cheesy." You say and he laughs.

He picks you up by your waist and twirls you, managing to not lose balance. He puts you back down, his arms still wrapped tightly around you.

"Wasn't this more fun than a date?" He says softly. You nod.

"Yeah. I guess we're just not that kinda couple." You say. He nods knowingly.

"Yeah, we're not. We're not like formal dates and fancy restaurants. We're pizza and movies and water fights."

He leans in close, his next words whispered.

"We're better."
