"Hey... are you gonna pick up this time? I wanna talk to you about... you know. You can't avoid it forever Seungcheol. Please?... Well, call me back soon anyway okay? Hope you're alright. Goodbye."

Seungcheol turned clicked off voice mail and let out a long sigh. It felt like the millionth time he had listened to the voice mail Jeonghan had left him yesterday, since he simply refused to pick up when he called. Seungcheol wasn't ready to talk about what happened last week, the day Jeonghan took him out to cheer him up.

Seungcheol sighs again and sits up in his bed, running his hands through his hair. Even though he refused to talk to Jeonghan about it, he thought about that night a lot.

At first, he had felt happy about it, feeling free and lifted for a few short hours before realising what happened and getting cold feet. He knew he was hurting Jeonghan but he couldn't help it. It was too foreign for him.

His phone beeped, indicating he had a new text message. Seungcheol opened it, and saw it was from his ex girlfriend.

Hey~ u up? :)

Seungcheol groaned in annoyance. As soon as he returned from his small outing with Jeonghan, his ex had decided she wanted him back and broke things up with the other guy she had found. Seungcheol started talking to her again, aiming to be friends but she started flirting more and more and Seungcheol didn't know how to react. And he still doesn't.

Hey

He replies as nonchalant as he can and she sends a message back immdiately. They talk for a few minutes before she finally asked the question she'd obviously been dying to ask from the beginning.

Do u want to meet up? We could meet at the club ;)

Seungcheol pondered for a moment. He knew he didn't like his ex anymore and  it was very clear to him that she wanted him back, but, despite that, hreventually answered 'yes'. He grabbed a jacket without really thinking, all he wanted was to get Jeonghan out of his head for a few hours.

As he descends down the stairs into his living room, his mother looks up and smiles at him.

"Going somewhere honey?" she asks Seungcheol as he pulls on his shoes.

"Just meeting a friend," Seungcheol mumbles in response, not looking up at her.

His mother hesitates slightly before asking, "Have you been ignoring Jeonghan lately?"

Seungcheol freezes in the little of tying his shoe. He slowly looks up and meets his mother's concerned gaze. "Why do you ask?" he questions her cautiously.

"Well, he's left several messages on the landline, asking where you were and I assumed he had gotten a hold of you but he keeps calling. Have you two had a fight?"

Seungcheol looks back down at his foot, resuming putting his shoe on. "No... I'm just not that close to him anymore." He says.

"Well, that's a shame..." She pauses. "Is everything okay, Seungcheol?"

"Yes." Seungcheol replies shortly.

Before she can reply, Seungcheol was out the door and half walking, half running down the street toward the local night club. It was getting dark out, and Seungcheol tries his best not to get freaked out.

He arrives into town and the night life is extremely vibrant already. He finds the nightclub and spots his ex standing outside it. She sees him and immediately rushes over to wrap into a hug.
