THE SMIRK ON HIS—my—face was bizarre and wild. I wore that expression many times before but it had never came to this. It had never came to the point where behind those teeth were something: that smile was somehow grotesque and gruesome.

No matter how it shocked me, I just knew it.

I blinked several times. I shook my head. This had to be a hallucination.

"Hindi ako duwag," I spat, enunciating each word, and held my fist up, ready to fight.

"Gano'n?" he snorted. "

"Wala ka nang pake do'n," I snapped and it only made his smirk even broader. It seemed like he was a wolf looking for his prey's weaknesses and the smile on his lips only told that he had found it.

I lay on the ground as my vision became blurry and the sky spinned before my eyes.

"Ano? Hindi ka ba lalaban? Wala ka palang kwenta. Tumayo ka d'yan!"

I stood with wobbly legs. I steadied myself and focused my sight to him—to myself—as he began circling. I shook my head, trying to clear my blurry vision of him. Nausea flashed through me as he walked sideways. For some reason, the world was still hazy. I clenched my jaw, blinking, trying to think of ways how to defeat him—of ways how to defeat myself.

Fighting him was like playing Rock, Paper, Scissors against the mirror. No matter what you chose, no one would ever win.

That made him take a step back. He smirked. "May ibubuga ka rin pala kahit papa'no."

He charged, landing a punch to my forearms as I blocked it. He struck so swiftly that I had to take a step back and another just to evade his raging punches. My arms ached from the powerful impact. Before I could recover, he landed one last punch. It hit my forearms once again but somehow, an outisde force had pushed me meters away from him like the winds had flicked me towards the edge of the rooftop.

Regaining my balance, I stepped forward. In a second, he was several feet away from me, in a second, he was now standing in my front.

In flash of a second he pushed me towards the edge. I dove to the clouds, waiting for the conrete below to shatter my bones.
